Invasion on Middlesbrough

I understand in some cases people just cannot go, but to not sell out our allocation is ridiculous given how much is riding on the game.

But still, I'll be there and buzzing like never before if we seal promotion. Big moment in our history is almost here and the thought of not being there makes me want to vomit everywhere.

You wouldn't have thought so, but whatever makes him feel better.

I meant i wont be feeling sorry for people whilst i'm celebrating promotion with proper fans and players, those that aren't there think it just isn't worth it.

I'll be in the pubs with hundreds of other Saints fans and then out making a night of it. You'll be in the North worrying more about how smug you feel for 'making the effort' as opposed to just enjoying the occasion.

imagine if all the other fans took that approach and thought nah, too much hassle, and we were promoted in front of a handful of people in the away end?

I wouldn't miss this for the world.

We've been through years of misery, and I've watched some utter garbage (bore draw at Wycombe on a Tuesday night anyone?).

This is the reward, this is payback. So yeah....too ****ing right I'm going.

And if you think it's not worth it...... that bloke next to you, who you grab and hug when we get promoted, that could be Turkish!

From the official website….

"There are just a few hundred tickets remaining for this weekend".

We have an allocation of 4,000 ….so we are taking over 3,000 up north.

Awesome support! Again!

If you are still thinking of going… get in quick!!!

Where does it say there are only a few hundred left?

Doesn't say anything either about us having sold 3,000 tickets. Isn't that just a random figure someone on here has come up with?

When i booked mine at 9am they have 1,500 left an hour or so later there was 1,200 left! Last i heard there was 1,000 remaining and that was about 1ish

Id guess that we have 750 left

If we dont sell out id be suprised and disappointed - our BIGGEST game for donkeys

hehe Nice one.. I'll wave at you up there whilst I'm hugging Lambert ON THE PITCH!

Gotta win first, but if there is a pitch invasion, we'll find a way down there from the upper.

Either way it's gonna be a top weekend, it'll be sold out, we'll be p*ssed up and noisy from start to finish. Then back to the toon for a tear up

^^photo taken from Portsmouth's most recent trip to the Riverside?

I've never been to Boro before so wasn't sure. No problems getting down from there.

Some of the worst stewards around when I've been up there. Will be no chance getting on the pitch.

Guys lets not have a pop at that those not going

This will be my 35th game of the season, I am a Northam s/ticket holder but I am exciled 2 miles from Upton Park. There are 100s of fans more loyal than me not from games attended but from spending dosh they have not got or time they dont have

I am going to Borough on behalf of all Saints fans, 1 game a season or every game

You have to be some kind of mong to think you're getting on the pitch at an away game without getting banned or arrested, promotion or not. There's some chance of smpathetic stewarding at a home match, but away ? No.

Incidentally, keeping people off the pitch would make them some of the BEST stewards.

Brighton fans ran on the pitch at Walsall last season.

Newcastle fans ran on the pitch at Plymouth the season they went up.

Portsmouth fans ran on the pitch after clinching survival at Wigan a fair few seasons ago.

Etc.

Hmmm... I think you could probably get away with if the home fans are outnumbered (or it's the placid bunch at Wigan).

Why are some having a go at some fans who cannot make the game Saturday . I'm sure more would make it If was a 3pm kick off . Wheres the best place to stay in middlesborough . For Glasgow saint . I'm traveling from Orkney graham

More to do with it being on the telly I should think. The post 5pm kick off actually makes getting there easier, and who cares about getting back if there's a party on ? :D

Would love to be there but just can't do another now. Went to Palace, and then Peterborough with the hope it would be 'the one' and we didn't quite make it.

I will have to content myself with the pub and a night out in Southampton afterwards, will be jealous of those who are there but sure I will get over it, town will be awesome anyway.

COME ON YOU REDS/YELLOWS!

They can't be any worse than Sheffield Utd?! Saying that the last time I went to the Riverside it was for England vs Slovakia. The only trouble we had was in a kebab house after the game with some moody locals.

Unlike some on here, I don't think I'm that influential and I'm sure that my decision to attend or not will have no bearing whatsoever on what other fans choose to do. Perhaps more importantly, I won't be making a point of telling them they are or aren't doing the right or wrong thing. I predict we'll take most of our allocation.

Any lads on the raz in Boro should go to the Empire club - quality. Otherwise, head in to Yarm for some pretentious pints.

Anyone who's actually been to Boro would know that the first train out of there heading to Newcastle is the best plan of attack.

Granted some people will have commitments they can’t get out of, but I bet half of the people that aren’t bothering will be wandering round west quay shopping with the mrs or something similar. Those of you saying your skint, if this isn’t worth dipping into the overdraft for I don’t know what is?

I'm sure fans running on the pitch at Boro isn't going to stop the home fans doing the same against Cov on the last day. Also, doubt many will be thinking 'if we run on now, people might not run on next week' during the hysteria after the game on Saturday if we go up.

I feel sorry for the players that want to do a lap of honour with there love ones, instead of having to stand on seats high in the stands struggling to soak up a pitch invasion.

If we clinch the championship vs Coventry I would want it on the pitch right in front of 31k people and not see jack Schmitt like last season.

Have you looked at the pictures on the OS from Walsall last season? I don't think it could've been possible for the players to look any happier if they tried. They were even filming the scenes on their phones/video cameras. Their tweets after would also suggest they were impressed with the scenes.
