The Wotsit "chant"

Turkish

Recommended Posts

Listen, if it's not in the 'Turkish book of cool things to do, wear, sing or say at a football match' then it 'aint cool - so don't do it, right. ;)

I'll make a note of Turkish's displeasure at this and ensure that I chant it at the Coventry match; whether there is any better reason or not, other than to cause him annoyance. I wonder whether you could oblige me with a list of what not to wear, do or sing, so that I can wear, do or sing those too?

Just be yourself fella, you dont need to do anything else to stand out from the crowd as a helmet.

I'm sorry but as an experiement... If I told you to get the gloves on and put in 10 crosses and took note of how many you caught. I then get 4,000 people behind the goal and get them to tell you you look ridiculous and just shout general abuse then put in another 10 crosses. Do you not think you would perform worse? I'm not saying this as fact, if you honestly don't think it would make a difference then fair enough. I just think it would.

Yes, I'd drop all 10 crosses if 4000 fans where chanting, ' you fat Wotsit!'

Excuse me, that job is taken.

My Facebook status circa 7:49pm was "we're top of the League... until Reading kick off".

Fairly certain that no points are awarded until the conclusion of matches. Therefore, we were officially top of the league between 9.39 and 9.55pm on Tuesday.

just stumbled upon this thread and thought, "oh yeah, it was me that came out with the oooooooooh, You Fat Wotsit' probably a few others at the same time maybe, hardly original, ironic really cause i hate the usual keeper kick chant anyway, so spose it was just an inspired moment for me.

On reflection, and after reading some of the posts tonight i want to offer a sincere apology for those who have been affected by this chant, there is of course nothing i can do now to make up for the heartache and trouble i have caused and i just pray, and i mean pray that in you may be gracious enough to forgive me one day.

It is times like this that puts the problems in Syria into perspective.

Well just make sure you don't do it again. Sounds like you've your lesson to be fair.
