Middlesbrough v Saints build-up thread

Reasons why I think Saints will win:

- Weve always done well at Boro largely because it looks just like home.

- They've been terrible at home

- Weve been recently good away.

- They would have found out 30 mins before kick off that their play off chances are zero or next to zero.

- We will tear into them as we did Posh on Tuesday.

Can anyone think of any negatives because I'm becoming dangerously too confident.

Think we'll win 2-0 tomorrow, that seems the regular score line for the majority of Boro's recent home defeats. Their home form is terrible, and we have been very good away from home recently. Gutted to not be going to this especially after being there at Plymouth last season. Oh well, guess those of us who aren't going will be able to get the party started back in Southampton!

COYR!

Apologies for being in the Red & White top tomorrow but I have been pub crawling my way from Peter to Middles (Borough) and not been home yet - hoping for a win to finish a great week off with promotion tomorrow!

WIFM and all Saints fans everywhere, those lucky enough to be going and those at home or in the pub!

Staying in elephant on the Tyne.....let the good times roll....was wondering if the players might stay up if we win....would love to see Adkins on the lash!

If we win then we can still be champions come the following Saturday, so would think this is unlikely.

It won't be our last on tv.

Cov next sat - BBC

Sky have on their schedule: "Championship Final Day - N/A"

They've not decided upon a game yet. I think it could be us, but could be Reading. I saw someone mention the possibility of them running both games and flicking between the two when goal updates occur like they have done in the past in the Premier League.

The BBC and Sky will each show a game.

Anyone else care to examine what I think is an astonishing ....possible fact. It's early and my eyes are still half shut.

Just out of interest I looked at a flight charter co's site.

This one... http://www.privatefly.com/

Has a 450 seater 747-400 for rental next weekend able to fly between Southampton and Newcastle and return (depart Southampton 8.30am, depart Newcastle 7.30pm (they wouldn't let you on if you were in Geordieland any longer...too many temptations)) for £55 629.15 !!!

As I say it's early but my schoolboy maths works that out at £123.62 each !!! Am I off my marbles or something, because that sounds freakin crazy?

(Pedants - I realise the game's this weekend, this is an example of hypothetical foresight...come late)

It's cheap. And after spending double what I intended at Palace, I have to cut back somewhere! ; )

To be honest, I'm on a party bus so I'm really not fussed at any rate.

EIEIEIO...

The chances of a fully loaded 747 (even taking into account no baggage) being able to take off from Southampton Airport are about as likely as Skatesmuff staying up this season.

A Gulfstream 5 or Lear Jet with your very own Hosty (matchday threadders will understand!!) would be more my cuppa tea - but I'm guessing you'd have to move the decimal point along a few notches!!

A 747 could not land at Southampton. Even a 737 couldn't get in there, the runway is too short (and too narrow for a 747) even if it was empty.

Day not off to the best of starts. Dropped off at meeting point of Rownhams services....on the wrong side! Went to try and get over bridge but then realised there's a tunnel at the opposite end of the services. Sorry if you're stood in stinking distance of me at the ground :)

Must be something else on my mind today.....
