Window Cleaner Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 ah...I still wanna go...ffs so go, did you contact RAF Saint? surely Gloucester is on your way.Or would that be seen as fraternising with the enemy in the Modern Navy!!
Thedelldays Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 so go, did you contact RAF Saint? surely Gloucester is on your way. no. I have not.
Window Cleaner Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 no. I have not. Pain in the ass is he? What about VFTT, whip up to wherever it is in the Midlands in your new motor and go up with them, just trying to be useful.
bender Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 Reasons why I think Saints will win: - Weve always done well at Boro largely because it looks just like home. - They've been terrible at home - Weve been recently good away. - They would have found out 30 mins before kick off that their play off chances are zero or next to zero. - We will tear into them as we did Posh on Tuesday. Can anyone think of any negatives because I'm becoming dangerously too confident.

saints_is_the_south Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 Think we'll win 2-0 tomorrow, that seems the regular score line for the majority of Boro's recent home defeats. Their home form is terrible, and we have been very good away from home recently. Gutted to not be going to this especially after being there at Plymouth last season. Oh well, guess those of us who aren't going will be able to get the party started back in Southampton! COYR!
Convict Colony Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 Not seen some for a while on here and needed to get back to basics ahead of the match thread tomorrow. http://ist1-4.filesor.com/pimpandhost.com/4/9/5/1/49519/m/q/V/F/mqVF/jiggle_juggs.gif

Lambert1979 Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 Staying in elephant on the Tyne.....let the good times roll....was wondering if the players might stay up if we win....would love to see Adkins on the lash!
MadDogMatt Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 Apologies for being in the Red & White top tomorrow but I have been pub crawling my way from Peter to Middles (Borough) and not been home yet - hoping for a win to finish a great week off with promotion tomorrow! WIFM and all Saints fans everywhere, those lucky enough to be going and those at home or in the pub!
St Chalet Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 Staying in elephant on the Tyne.....let the good times roll....was wondering if the players might stay up if we win....would love to see Adkins on the lash! If we win then we can still be champions come the following Saturday, so would think this is unlikely.

SO16_Saint Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 We won our 1st game on TV this season so we'll win our last game on TV! Next... It won't be our last on tv. Cov next sat - BBC
saintscottofthenortham Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 It won't be our last on tv. Cov next sat - BBC Are you sure?
SO16_Saint Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 Are you sure? Fairly confident. Depends on tomorrow. Was told we would have 10 tv games. Were at 8, 9 tomorow, 10 next wk
Saint-Armstrong Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 It won't be our last on tv. Cov next sat - BBC Sky have on their schedule: "Championship Final Day - N/A" They've not decided upon a game yet. I think it could be us, but could be Reading. I saw someone mention the possibility of them running both games and flicking between the two when goal updates occur like they have done in the past in the Premier League.

SW11_Saint Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 Out of interest, anyone flying up tomorrow (Soton - Newc)?
saintscottofthenortham Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 Just been to Asda to grab some scram for the long journey up... oh and a crate of Strongbow. I am not going to sleep well tonight. at all. Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.................WTS!!!
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 Just woken up on Match Day (ok - its on very late tonight here). Its mainly sunny, light breeze and 26 degrees.
Appy Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 So excited but yet so nervous, can't believe how close we are now. See you all up there.
theyin Posted 20 April, 2012 Posted 20 April, 2012 Anyone else care to examine what I think is an astonishing ....possible fact. It's early and my eyes are still half shut. Just out of interest I looked at a flight charter co's site. This one... http://www.privatefly.com/ Has a 450 seater 747-400 for rental next weekend able to fly between Southampton and Newcastle and return (depart Southampton 8.30am, depart Newcastle 7.30pm (they wouldn't let you on if you were in Geordieland any longer...too many temptations)) for £55 629.15 !!! As I say it's early but my schoolboy maths works that out at £123.62 each !!! Am I off my marbles or something, because that sounds freakin crazy? (Pedants - I realise the game's this weekend, this is an example of hypothetical foresight...come late)

And after spending double what I intended at Palace, I have to cut back somewhere! ; ) To be honest, I'm on a party bus so I'm really not fussed at any rate. EIEIEIO...
Saint_clark Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Leaving soon, stocked up with a load of grub from Morrisons - I too am drinking strongbow, no shame in it. Got just over an hours sleep last night I reckon.
smackalec Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Leaving soon Got just over an hours sleep last night I reckon. Shouldn't watch so much babe station then!!!!

Got just over an hours sleep last night I reckon. I too have barely slept. This exitement is just too much! As much as I'm looking forward to it though, I'm also sh*tting a brick. I don't understand why!!!
ericofarabia Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Why is saturday always so far away!!!? That'll learn ya to live to the west of The Greenwich Meridian - it's been Saturday here for ages!!

(Pedants - I realise the game's this weekend, this is an example of hypothetical foresight...come late) The chances of a fully loaded 747 (even taking into account no baggage) being able to take off from Southampton Airport are about as likely as Skatesmuff staying up this season. A Gulfstream 5 or Lear Jet with your very own Hosty (matchday threadders will understand!!) would be more my cuppa tea - but I'm guessing you'd have to move the decimal point along a few notches!!
rich saints Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 could not sleep bring it on full english first then on the road to 3 points COYR
shirleysfc Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Barely slept... quick shower then heading up to Boro. Everyone heading to Doc Browns?

Lighthouse Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Just checking in with the 8am roll call, sorry I'm late. About to set off from sunny Brizzle. Can't wait!!! (Pedants - I realise the game's this weekend, this is an example of hypothetical foresight...come late) A 747 could not land at Southampton. Even a 737 couldn't get in there, the runway is too short (and too narrow for a 747) even if it was empty.
farawaysaint Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Well crap, thought it was Sunday and I'd missed the game saw the Reading pitch invasion on TV and figured it was us before realising my mistake. That puts a bit of a downer on my day

If they're out of the play off by 5pm, it will be a poor attendance from their point of view. A lot of them are buying tickets at the gate should they still be in with a shout.
dan17 Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Have woken up supremely confident (which is usually a worry), I can't see anything but a Saints win this evening. It just feels right today.
saintchrissy Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 packed the car and off we go on the long journey north - here's to a great win, Tony Mowbray didnt sound too confident this morning on sky sports!!!
Shroppie Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 And so the day dawns. Shroppie expects that every Saint this day will do his/her* duty. That is all. * before the pc brigade get me.
farawaysaint Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Do you live in an institution? I'm fairly useless in the morning before my coffee to be fair though not so bad as to need special attention
Liquidshokk Posted 21 April, 2012 Posted 21 April, 2012 Day not off to the best of starts. Dropped off at meeting point of Rownhams services....on the wrong side! Went to try and get over bridge but then realised there's a tunnel at the opposite end of the services. Sorry if you're stood in stinking distance of me at the ground Must be something else on my mind today.....
