Just watching sky and see MLT is only player to be nominated twice in best goal category! Just again makes you realise how lucky we were to see him play for us.

Those goals were class.

Why the f'k is MLT in the Central Midfielder category?????

Cos that's where he always played, sort of, wasn't a striker, played in the "hole". Class.

Voted for Newcastle too. No doubt the 14 yr old Man United fans will rig the vote towards Rooney's overhead kick. Morons.

I wouldn't class the 'hole' as CM tho. Given his goals record he would have been a better fit into the RM of CF category. Pretty pointless comparing him in the CM category with the likes of Scholes, Viera, Keane, etc.

Disappointed Alan Blayney's save from Alan Shearer isn't there in the Best Save section.

Thought that, probably because he is not a name! If that was Seaman performing that save he would be in the catergory?

Well I guess in the grand scheme of things......

My point was just that I would love to see MLT in the 'All Premier League' team. However since he has been put in the CM category there is feck all chance of this happening. I would imagine if you asked 1,000 football fans who is the greatest CM since the PL started not one would say MLT. You might as well put in in the GK category....

I'm just worried that MLT having 2 goals will split the vote between them.

More people remember the Blackburn goal as it was BBC 'Goal of the Season' (Think the Newcastle goal was 3rd)

However the Blackburn was just a Saturday 3pm MotD highlights job, a game we lost as well.

The Newcastle goal was a Sunday 4pm on Sky back in the days when Sky only had 2 games on a weekend.

Also a shame they seem to have put on that 'after the event' style commentary. I hate that: [half excited] "ooh what a goal by Le Tissier"

Personally, Newcastle goal for me. "Sit down Moods" :)

The Newcastle goal for me. Lots of people can score from distance now, probably because of the ball, but that Newcastle goal just summed up what MLT was all about - we'll never see his like again - unfortunately, imagine if we had a young version waiting for us to get promoted...

But if you ask MLT which one he preferred then he would say Blackburn, he admitted to not hitting it properly but IMHO that's what makes it special as he made Hooper look stupid with the side foot.

Can't believe Niemi & Blayney are not in the saves section as some of those chosen have nothing on our two.

some really bizarre options available in the team of the 20 years...mark schwartzer?? warren barton?? gary kelly?? john arne riise?? darren anderton?? steve stone?? WHAT???

Where's the best manager poll?

I also ende up somehow reading an article of Cantona saying how the karate kick was his best mOment! Doesn't even know where all his shirts and medals are! Eric for President.

I did not see the Newcastle goal until after the game - all I know was that I was listening to the match on 5 Live as I was driving home when Green said "The ball has come to LeTissier....." then there was about 10 seconds of absolute silence followed by a breathed "That has got to be the best goal I have ever seen" after which he described it.
