kwsaint Posted 16 April, 2012 Share Posted 16 April, 2012 Was on their OS, they've sold 1100 already and received another 900. I imagine that will be it tbh
Orange Posted 16 April, 2012 Share Posted 16 April, 2012 F*cking idiots the ticket office. Saying the match was sold out to people, then putting more tickets on sale this morning. But not even telling people that. How hard can it be to run a ticket office.

Orange Posted 16 April, 2012 Share Posted 16 April, 2012 Well a number of people on the forum were told it had sold out over the phone. I agree don't take everyones word on here- but can't think why someone would post that for fun? Before you say its my fault for being disorganised i was working saturday so was unable to buy. Today for example, i've got an away ST, and i was sent stand tickets for Peterborough, but i want terrace tickets. A fairly simple request to swap over but the bloke on the customer service line gave me f*ck all help unless i was willing to go down SMS, which i couldn't. Just useless. And Delldays they should be told then that there is a chance of more being put on sale.
Thedelldays Posted 16 April, 2012 Share Posted 16 April, 2012 And Delldays they should be told then that there is a chance of more being put on sale. my advice....(not that you should need it ffs) is take the OS for what it says and not here
Sour Mash Posted 16 April, 2012 Share Posted 16 April, 2012 But you only have people's word that they said that. As usual with SFC, if it isn't on the OS then it's probably not true. You think people were making up what they were told? Our ticket office is f******g useless, there's no getting away from it.
Window Cleaner Posted 16 April, 2012 Share Posted 16 April, 2012 You think people were making up what they were told? Our ticket office is f******g useless, there's no getting away from it. The point was discussed in the Coventry Tickets thread yesterday, I know that not everyone has the time or inclination to read the forum each day but it became apparent that whether the match was sold out or not was subject to discussion. It was posted yesterday afty that it might be worth trying for tickets this morning at 8.30 ish, indeed some seem to have been successful at that.At no time wa it announced officially that the match was sold out and it clearly wasn't the case because tickets were obtained today.People may have been told different things but at the end of the day there was no harm in trying this morning as there had been no official announcement to the fact.Once again don't believe it until it's on the OS proved to be the right approach. trousers Posted 16 April, 2012 Share Posted 16 April, 2012 my advice....(not that you should need it ffs) is take the OS for what it says and not here If we adhered to that advice for the Pompey game then I'd have made a wasted 100 mile round trip to pick up my tickets the day before the game. The OS said 'no match day collection' yet the TO were saying over the phone that it was OK to pick up on the day. On that occasion, the TO we're right and the OS was wrong. People bullsh*t about everything and nothing on this forum, either because they're ill informed or that they get some sort of kick out of it. manji Posted 16 April, 2012 Share Posted 16 April, 2012 You think people were making up what they were told? Our ticket office is f******g useless, there's no getting away from it. I am not sure what they can do really, I phoned at 9.02 and was told it had completely sold out with NO chance of further tickets and I am sure they guy on the phone fully believed that at the time. What can he say ? "I think it is sold out but we may get some later" and then they didnt get any people would still moan. Bottom line it is my fault for being disorganised. Mind you I am confident I will get some......
Mattio Posted 16 April, 2012 Share Posted 16 April, 2012 I called at 8.30, was told its completely sold out. Around 9.30 I saw posted on here that it wasn't sold out and block 43 was opened. The hotline was jammed so I went to the ticket office and arrived at 10ish and got the "last" ticket (which was in the chapel) and was told there would be no more. When I got back I called the hotline and was told it was sold out but call back in an hour. So I went on the online site to see if it was sold out, it said it wasn't but wouldn't let me pick a single ticket anyway but I kept clicking and managed to get 2 tickets at 10.30ish, after this I attempted to buy more out of curiosity (to then cancel if the system allowed me to so I could inform people on here) and it had sold out. kwsaint Posted 16 April, 2012 Share Posted 16 April, 2012 Surely all of this is irrelevant with the introduction of the new system next year? If it is then they're just trying to **** us off one more time before they have no excuses
Pilchards Posted 16 April, 2012 Share Posted 16 April, 2012 To summon the ticket office up I phoned them Friday morning to ask when the ticket office would be open Saturday morning, the lady said 'Well if it's a match day then it's....[pause] I said we had a game tonight against Reading so it won't be a match day tomorrow, did you not know we had a game tonight then? she replied 'No I didn't know that.' After getting me the opening times, I asked her what she thought the score would be tonight, Oh I don't know, I have no idea..... Blimey and you expect someone to tell you whether tickets are sold out yet if she has no idea what the bloody club is doing in the first place. Sounds almost as bad as phoning up the bank and expecting the person on the other end of the phone having a Scooby about banking
