How long do you avoid football sites when things go t1ts up??

I just avoid the obvious ridiculous threads. Like the should Brighton be investigated thread. I can only imagine some of the rubbish the OP must've been spouting, so I can't even bring myself to read that. I also imagine the Jose Fonte thread to be full of people claiming he's not good enough after one mistake, so I've avoided that one as well.

So today is the first day i've allowed myself to look at football sites following this weekends dire results.... does anyone else do this?

Sometimes. Normally I'll get the papers on sunday for the footie (didn't bother this weekend) gave the football league show a miss to. If we do go up can't imagine I'll want to watch MOTD to often either.

Not been back on the KUMB site since the weekend, I will after Tuesday IF..... we have another Carlsberg midweek.

i do remember how I stayed away from the Huddersfield one for 4 months when they pipped us to the playoff spot a couple of years ago as it hurt too much.

I could only just bring myself to watch the Skate highlights the other day. Imagine I'll get round to the Reading highlights later in the week.

the skate game was worse....after the dust settled and the stupid reactionary threads had gone off the main page.....looking at the highlights again, we played them off the park and for 2 wonder goals (deffo the first one) and a keeper in inspired form...we should have won.....

tell you what...do NOT log onto here if we are not 3-0 in the first 20 mins on tuesday
Actually if we are 3-0 up inside 20 minutes I might be thinking it's a bit too early to be celebrating - even 3-0 with 10 minutes to go still has me slightly pertubed. Plenty of time to get back at us and all that, especially given Saints history. I'll try and keep any negative thoughts to myself though.

Take out the wonder goals and that could describe the reading game too. I've just filtered back onto the site today and glad I stayed away. Would have been 10 times more depressed if i'd have listened to most on here.

Actually it is worth going on to the other sites to pick yourelf up. KUMB fans are still pessimistic about their auto promotion chances which adds realism to the debate. They have to win all their games and we have to trip up in two of ours. Not impossible but the odds are against it. The loss to Blackpol aside, our team have played well and have retained their confidence, workrate and self belief. Shame our fans can't do the same.

We were very poor by our standards in the Skate game. Haven't seen a team in this league all season hoof it as much as we did in the 2nd half.

Only football related thing I have indulged in since the Reading disaster was MOTD. Avoided the FLS, Twitter, Saintsweb *****il y'day eve), and any other football related site. I just sort of detach myself from all things Saints, just get on with life for three or four days.

Generally 24 hours, by which time I realise that I watch the Saints but have very little ability to influence what actually happens on the pitch !

I always tend to come straight here, if I'm not on here already. I find that reading through other peoples post match opinions often helps the overall perspective of the game and not just my own thoughts of how I saw the game.

The majority of the time when I read through the post match reactions I more often than not feel so much better that I'm not the only supporter that feels thoroughly ****ed off when we lose.

Once the post count rises on all different threads about different aspects post match I've usually read enough to see the positives for the next game and feel a touch happier despite a few of my own nagging doubts.

Overall, I think getting a wider opinion of a game after a loss is much healthier than stewing in your own thoughts of how bad it was when a little more perspective can open your own view of it on reflection...

However there are the odd few times when it was as bad as you originally thought but thankfully these days they are very few and far between!
