miserableoldgit Posted 9 November, 2008 Share Posted 9 November, 2008 Saw him at The Anvil last night. Absolutely brilliant! Having seen a lot of comedy recently (Frankie Boyle, Russell Howard, Jo Caulfield, Andy Parsons, Lucy Porter, Milton Jones etc) I thought he was the funniest and he managed it with resorting to (too much) bad language or bad taste. Well worth catching up with.
saint.tom.clancy Posted 9 November, 2008 Share Posted 9 November, 2008 Yes. I've loved him for ages, absolute legend.
Evil Monkey Posted 9 November, 2008 Share Posted 9 November, 2008 Never thought he was that funny until I saw him on Live at the Apollo on friday night. Had me in stitches. The bit about the imaginary bus journey was gold.
Gully Posted 9 November, 2008 Share Posted 9 November, 2008 I work behind a bar on Saturday night where there is a comedy club 8:30-10:30. had a mystery guest on last night, turned out to be Robin Willaims, true story.
Arizona Posted 9 November, 2008 Share Posted 9 November, 2008 I can't stand McIntyre. Whenever I see him on Mock the Week or 8 out of 10 Cats, I find him so tedious and just not funny at all. There's just something about his camp, attention seeking persona which makes everything he says not funny. Bit like Alan Carr.
Junction 9 Posted 9 November, 2008 Share Posted 9 November, 2008 I saw him in a really small theatre in Dorset last year. Was very good.

And he's one of those people that has to hold himself back from laughing at his own jokes. I saw him 'Live' at the Appollo on TV the other night and he was quite funny, but I agree on Mock the Week he's rarely funny at all. Alan Carr is a ****.
