Window Cleaner Posted 14 April, 2012 Share Posted 14 April, 2012 Poyet willing to sacrifice a play-off spot to spite us. Thats one helluva chip on his shoulder. Brighton ran out of steam a month ago, don't know why anyone expected anything more from them today.
Noodles34 Posted 14 April, 2012 Share Posted 14 April, 2012 WHU + 28 us + 34 i guess that is including where they are now against BHA? its getting a bit close, that 'extra point' is looking bloody vunerable now.
Micky Posted 14 April, 2012 Share Posted 14 April, 2012 I wouldn't worry about gd now - we will obviously put 7 past cov on the last day of the season.
SaintJackoInHurworth Posted 14 April, 2012 Share Posted 14 April, 2012 Another draw for WH; leaving us requiring 4 points for promotion. Other games to watch out for: Burnley v Cov - Burnley win. Hopefully Cov relegated before we play them. Brim v Bristol C - Brum to win and keep Bristol C honest against WH Tuesday night. Millwall v Leicester - Leicester win to keep their play off hopes alive, they play WH in the penultimate match. Derby v Middlesbrough - Derby win to spoil Boro play off ambitions. Watford v Hull - Hull win to keep their play off hopes alive. They play WH last day. Quite aside from the disaster of Brighton's failure to cope with a team that have not been able to win at home since January, a lot of the other scores are also not going too well on your assessment. To these I would add: Leeds v Peterboro match - we don't wish them to get confidence from winning. Glad with that in mind to see that Leeds equalised just before half time and have now gone 3-1 up. This could be an important scoreline for us! Barnsley v Cardiff - Cardiff winning could be in our favour if it knocks the stuffing out of Middlesbrough's promotion campaign. Forest v Blackpool - as for Cardiff above and if Blackpool win could put pressure on Brum. Oh well... things can only get better - and the Leeds comeback is good - would be even better if Brighton could do the same!!!!

But if they were midtable with nothing to play for, the score would be 10-0 to the Hammers now.

SaintJackoInHurworth Posted 14 April, 2012 Share Posted 14 April, 2012 Well, a few things are turning better - Brum have equalised and Cardiff gone ahead. Not so sure about Coventry's equaliser though.

Bristol City just doesn't matter Donny,Pompey and Coventry are down.

niceandfriendly Posted 14 April, 2012 Share Posted 14 April, 2012 6-0 with 10 minutes to go. Brighton have started scoring own goals to help out West Ham. We've had better weekends.Oh well at least at skates are getting relegated. That's something I guess. And why is it good that Brum have equalised? What am I missing there? alehouseboys Posted 14 April, 2012 Share Posted 14 April, 2012 Anyone care to disagree now ? Yeah, but you were saying we'd finish 17th and that Glenn Oddball is some kind of footballing genius so excuse us if we don't take much notice. Will you come back and admit to being a f'kin looney if we finish in the top 2? Had to have a look on NSC, some are saying they hope wet spam finish above us 'cos they still haven't forgiven us for '78. Wonder if they've got a chip on their shoulders about Spurs too? They're a very strange club, who have this idea that they're some sort of potential south coast mega team, when the reality is that they're tin pot.I don't think they'll be getting into the premier league any time soon. RobM Posted 14 April, 2012 Share Posted 14 April, 2012 It takes a special kind of trolling **** to quote their own post to show off about their negative predictions about their own choice of football club.
Dark Munster Posted 15 April, 2012 Share Posted 15 April, 2012 F**king bastards. I am trying to think of the what would be the best outcome of this that would punish Poyet and his cheating, scummy team. I came up with this. We end up level on points with WHam, level on goal difference, but go up in second having scored a goal more. Poyet and his c**ts on the other hand finish 7th, just missing out on the playoffs by having a one goal lower goal difference (but more goals scored) than Boro in 6th. So, if they'd lost 5-0 to the Hammers they would have made the playoffs. If they'd lost 7-0 we would have missed automatic promotion. 6-0 was the only result that would both give us auto promotion and screw up their playoff bid. Karma at its best.
