Phoned up several times and told to try again later. Why dont they just have a queuing system over the phone?

That's part of their queueing system.

Not busy :

Ring and speak to an operator.

Busy :

Ring and get put in a queue

Speak to an operator eventually.

Very busy :

Ring and get told lines are busy, get cut off OR succeed in connecting, see "Busy".

If cut off, retry until succeed in connecting, see "Busy".

I got mine the other night online (at least I hope I did). I'd only been to one of the two listed games but it let me book anyway. Did you only have to go to one and not both? Or was it a mistake? And will I get my tickets;-)? (Should do, I have a receipt.)

Fair enough.

Went down there in the end, queued for well over an hour but got them!

Less than 500 left according to TO staff.

****'s sake. Can't get through at all. Does anyone else think it sort of takes the **** how they've gone about selling them. I'm prevented from going to potentially the biggest game of the last decade or so because I was at uni for the Barnsley and Ipswich games... Been to the last 6 home games with the exception of those two. I know I'll get the usual rabble telling me I'm a specific case and the club can't tailor to everyone's needs. I just feel that we the fans make the club and shouldn't be made to jump through hoops to achieve the exclusivity required to attend games.

To be honest, people say it's unfair and it's hard to get tickets but it's really not. If you call first thing (I phoned at 25 past 9, line opened at 9:30) you WILL get a ticket. If you leave it too late, you're going to have less of a chance. I was never worried that I might not get one, and I was never fooled into thinking that buying for Barnsley and Ipswich would be of any help either - as if a club with a stadium that doesn't get sold out every week wasn't going to have tickets go to general sale.

Sorry to hear you or anyone else have missed out and all that but I can't agree that it's all that difficult and I do understand the uni thing, having just finished three years myself.

I went down at 9-oclock this morning to get some friends a couple of Coventry tickets and joined the queue at the back of the Kingsland.Despite the ticket office computer crashing for half an hour and it being cold and rainy,i managed to get a couple in block 2 after two and a half hours of waiting. When i left it looked like the length of the waiting fans was still just as long.

There was also what looked like a serious fire in the block of flats near the garage at the end of Britannia rd.Lots of fire engines and police there,so hope no one was hurt.

One of the more reasoned responses to my sort of issue so thank you for that. All I'd say is that what I find people on here sometimes forget is that whilst Saints are a big part of my life, my life doesn't revolve around them. Was out yesterday sorting stuff for my sister's wedding. Admittedly it didn't cross my mind to slip out for 10 minutes to try and sort out the tickets but the club effectively left people less than a day of general sale. Just very annoying.

You have my sympathies, and I agree with the point in bold. My sister is getting married on May 26th - I actually told her to book a date when there was no chance of football being played!

TO: Umm, its not sold out

Me: Oh awesome, can I book two tickets

TO: No

Me: Umm, why?

TO: You can't book on Sundays, ring tomorrow after 8.30

It says it's sold out online but if it's not, happy days!

they probably use some sort of error margin at which they stop online sales for a while.

The capacity of SMS seems to be variable, Reading was "sold out" with a crowd of 31892,for West Ham it was 32150 or something like that.

If they've got a line up outside SMS waiting to buy tickets it's sort of understandable that they stop onlines when they're down to the last 1000 or so. It's just a theory.

My ex's sister got married on Semi-Final day in 1976, still went to Stamford Bridge though, only took her about 2 years to get over it.

I've been told by the folks I'll be written out of the will if I don't attend. I'll be surprised if there's anything left anyway, the price of the bloody day.

Champ play off final is 19th may.

Yes. So it's not going to clash with the wedding on the 26th then, is it.

My understanding is that a batch of tickets with impaired view are always last to be sold but i have no idea what seats have an impaired view.

The other explanation is that they are the 10 deferred Matt LeTiss tickets that we are contractually and morally obliged to keep until he knows what his Sky commitments are.

Ther is always ebay folks...
