He hadn't been v good since he came back but not too many chances.for me he had more ability than Chaplow and de ridder but he's not even in bench. Have the fallen out again?

Was wondering the same thing. Can't still be injured, I'd say he's probably upset someone again.

Real shame, as I thought he was a breath of fresh air when he came back into the fold (although has been used rather sparingly, could have done with him on the right last night)

He doesn't fit the team under adkins, and hasn't since day 1. He was brought back and played with a fair bit of effort - but that was it. I don't think he's an Adkins type of player, which is why he's been cast adrift since he's been manager tbh.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's upset someone again either, whatever the case he's a wasted talent. He'll go elsewhere in the summer.

Bit strange this! Why did we bring him back if he is not going to feature? With the injurys we have he should be on the bench at least . Going back to the transfer window most fans knew we lacked pace so getting Puncheon back and also Falque ( who?) we looked to have solved the problem but neither has played , so what was the fn point if getting them in??

he was quality the first few games when he came back but can't understand why he's been sidelined now. Could have done with him last night I reckon.

He isn't being picked because he had a couple of games and was his usual ineffective self. Why does there have to be something darker to the situation?

I thought it was Adkins who wanted him back. Certainly looked that way when he came off the pitch on his first game back, and according to Puncheon it was NC he fell out with.

Puncheon fell out with Crosby and therein lies the answer.I think Crosby has a pretty big say on team affairs, not the final word perhaps but he's certainly listened to.The answer might lie in an incident in a Play-Off match between S****horpe and MK Dons back in 2009, not sure that Punch didn't injure Crosby in a foul tackle.

He looked decent when he came back, let's not rewrite history.

Either way it's clear something else is going on seeing as we had 3 defenders on the bench last night.

For two games. In the last couple he played he was bloody rubbish, its you who are re-writing history. Typical Puncheon pattern, good for a while then slips into old habits.

Waste of space.

His abscence suggests that Adkins believes JP has 'thrown his oar overboard' , or is unable to row in the same direction and pace as those around him.

For whatever reason, he does not appear onboard still.

Shame as I thought he might have grasped the opportunity and with something to prove he might have added some aggression into our fight.

Let's not forget that a couple of weeks back Chaplow and De Ridder weren't in the 16 either.Chung's and Morgan's absence

has permitted them to come back into the match group as well.If pushed I'd have to say that last night's 16 is difficult to

comprehend, guess we thought we'd not be chasing the match just trying to close it out (should have done that at 1-1,not sure Reading would have come looking if we hadn't tried to rattle their bars).

At the end of the day we have elements in our group who obviously aren't in the manager's plans and we've wasted money on loans that we can't use and dug ourselves into a bottomless pit by insisting that Puncheon would only leave as a permanent move.

I would like to see him back, hope the assistant coach/manager is not stopping him due to something that happened at S****horpe!!!!! FFS

We need committed skilful team players, if JP fits that get him back on the bus!
