P'boro build up thread

It doesn't help when the radio reminds us that Reading will be promoted if they win and WHU don't.

Matchday and trying to remain calm. I know that Saints are more than capable of picking up 3 points today. All it requires is some clinical finishing (AL please find your shooting boots), quick passing (getting robbed in midfield is an original sin), concentration in defence to cut out those mistakes (remember that the opposition players are allowed to lurk on the edge of the penalty area).

Best of luck to those travelling today.

Waterlogged pitch anybody!?!

I dont think Im going to be able to listen. Too nervous. Just switch on at 9.45 and get it over with in one go, like jumping into a cold pool. Dont wade in a step at a time, over the 10m board....

They play a diamond but have Tyrone Barnett and Emile Sinclair. Both signings from L2+ but with many goals to their names for former clubs and Posh.

Seem fast when I see them.

They play a narrow game, utilising a diamond.

Right back Mark Little is capable of bombing on down the wing at great speed as well but hopefully Adam will keep him busy in their half.

Totally agree. I just can't do it, and I think I jinx them when I follow minute by minute. Good luck Saints. Please, please, win tonight. Everything else might be a bonus.

Possible to pay for the away terrace up there? I'm not going to know if I can get out of work in time until later
I would guess so as we havent yet sold out, but might be worth calling up the ticket office and asking them once you know if you will be able to make it or not.

I have faith in nigel naming the right team tonight and us getting the 3 points. I can see west ham winning as well! I think the key could be how many goals each team scores. if we can just win by one more goal than them... that really would help!

how many tickets have we sold for tonight? and please tell me there terracing has a roof!

To fook with West Ham, its Reading that we need to slip up. Do the players really want to settle for second best and only have runners up medals to show off ?

Win this league, its their best chance they will probably get to win a winners medal.

Lets see how Reading cope with the pressure if we win our next two games.

Are West Ham getting a points deduction tonight then?

My thoughts exactly. We're 3 points clear with 3 games left. If Wet Sham lose and we win, we'll be 6 points clear with 2 games left, but unlike last year with Plymouth, we won't have a massively superior goal difference, probably only +5/6. It would be great if we did win and Wham lose, as we'd then only need a point from either Middlesbrough or Coventry. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I suppose for a special night we can hope for a Bristol City win 3-0 and a Saints thumping over P'boro 4-0. That will give us a 10 goal lead and 6 points clear with 2 games left.

Yeah dream on Pilchards.

How's the song go:

Can see it all going horribly wrong tonight. But then I am a negative ol' bastard at times ;)

The words of those saying its not necessarily a good thing going up are the only thing stopping my nerves from preventing me getting any work done today!

I dont know what is wrong with you lot. If anyone in the top 6 was going to a team in lower midtable with nothing to play for, badly out of form and missing their best defender you'd have them down to win easily. We will and we will conmfortably, id rather be going to Peterborough than Bristol City FFS.

Make no mistake no game will be easy tonight!

BC drew with West Ham away and are unbeaten in 5 with a great away draw at Birmingham last time out.

Meanwhile Nottingham have only been beaten once in the last seven.

Its in our hands

Bristol City were aweful saturday, I was there.

It's the games we "should" win that we usually lose though ey.....

I'm hoping the journey to Middlesborough Saturday will be full of discussion about us tonking Peterborough 6-0 though.... ;)

I think tonight is tougher than Saturday in all honesty. Confident of 3 points. 3-1 win. Hooiveld will score - its a Tuesday night :)

Good luck to all fans going up. 3,389 exactly as of 2 mins ago! Enjoy the trip and bring back home the 3 points!!

How is going away to a team in 18th with nothing to play for tougher than going to a team in 7th who need to win to make the play offs?

In my ever so wishful thinking, i put a £2 bet on Reading and West Ham to lose and Saints to win tonight. Got 46/1 on it.

After playing 442 all season...why would you go and play 451 tonight ?! Especially dropping Sharp who has been playing well recently. and start with De Ridder who has never played well when he has started and Puncheon who has had 1 good game since he came back into the frame?!
