dune Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 We're in a great position, we're playing well, and this is in our hands. Roll on Peterborough away.
badgerx16 Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 We're in a great position, we're playing well, and this is in our hands. Roll on Peterborough away. Agreed - though I bet a few on here will say we've blown it.
Red Alert Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Could have been tonight, wasn't to be so move on Tuesday.
dune Posted 13 April, 2012 Author Posted 13 April, 2012 Agreed - though I bet a few on here will say we've blown it. Real supporters get behind the team at times like this.
Avenue Saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Real supporters get behind the team at times like this. This!
Thedelldays Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 be hilarious if west ham lose tomorrow which they won't lol
LaptopSaint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Real supporters get behind the team at times like this. And this again. COYR.
Avenue Saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 be hilarious if west ham lose tomorrow which they won't lol Reading deserve it, the run they've been on has been monstrous. Much rather them than the east London cocks.
dune Posted 13 April, 2012 Author Posted 13 April, 2012 WHU will win tomoz, and we'll be 3 points ahead. We've got everything to be positive about. We built up a lead and we can afford a few slips. They can't. Keep the faith.
Thedelldays Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 fuking hell...why do we have so many wet fannies that support saints...we can afford to lose ANOTHER game and still do it
CB Fry Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 WHU will win tomoz, and we'll be 3 points ahead. We've got everything to be positive about. We built up a lead and we can afford a few slips. They can't. Keep the faith. Absolutely this. That's the whole point of a points cushion. As it stands we have a six point cushion on West Ham. We don't need to maintain a six point cushion for the rest of the season. We just have to finish the league above West Ham. None of you whinging tw at s would swap with West Ham now would you?
speed demon Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Totally agree. It's not the end of the world despite what the doom merchants think. Would you rather be WHU right now? No thought not. Assuming we see this through I am going to steam into Saints finishing higher than Reading in a match bet in the PL.
Wildgoose Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Well said! We may well win the last three now......we won't play another Reading that's for sure!
Glasgow_Saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 MASSIVE pressure on west ham tomorrow.. Come on Brighton!! If WHAM play like they did 2nd half against Brum they will win easy
Lazlo78 Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 We're in a great position, we're playing well, and this is in our hands. Roll on Peterborough away. I'm always disappointed after a defeat and sometimes really p*ssed off, but not tonight. We played great football, defended well. They took their chances and we were wasteful. Chance of a title probably wasted. Next mission: promotion!
Suomi Saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 West Ham will win tomorrow, so the pressure will be on us on Tuesday. I can see us losing that one, so it will go down to the wire. Reading are champions - it's a real fight for 2nd now.
Thedelldays Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 just love how on this forum....people just throw in the towel. who is to say forest or brum won't beat reading or leicester won't beat west ham (very possible)
badgerx16 Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 We could have had 3 before they got their first gift, and forget the third, conceding in added time when chasing an equaliser is just rubbing salt in the wounds. For most of the match we dominated and they defended in depth, we managed plenty of clear chances on goal but didn't quite have the sights set correctly; the early deflection off Gorkss could have crept in by the post, Jos had 2 or 3 clear unmarked headers, as did Adam, plus his cross/chip which just got tippped over. I do think we became a bit predictable late on, how many deep crosses to the far post came in from the right hand side whilst they had everybody behind the ball ? Overall, if we can put in this level of performance in the last 3 games I can't see a problem with acheiving automatic promotion, and we could even get 3 wins, and remember, after Brighton, Wet Sham still have to go away to Brizzle and Leicester.
Saintandy666 Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 We played well. Unlucky to lose. Play like that against Coventry and Peterborough and we will be fine. And West Ham still need to win against a tough Brighton side tomorrow to even get with 2 cock ups of us.
Dr Who? Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 West Ham v Brighton - West Ham Win Bristol City v West Ham - West Ham Win Leicester v West Ham - draw West Ham v Hull - draw West Ham 8 points Peterborough v Southampton - Saints win Middlesborough v Southampton - Middlesbough win Southampton v Coventry - Saints win Southampton 6 points Southampton 88 points West Ham 84 I think we can even do with a draw at Posh and West Ham to beat Hull on the final day and we will still go up on goal difference.
chocco boxo Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Still would have taken this 18 months ago ! Like the Spice girl Posh don't like it up them!

It is possible for us to go up by just beating Cov.
Colinjb Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Reading took their chances, we didn't. We CAN Do this though! Come on!!!
Jillyanne Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Coventry will beat us 2-1 - you heard it here first!!!
Rebel Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 We p*ss around with the football too much. reading showed how to attack with pace and a direct style. Yes we had 12 shots on target to their 4 but how many times did we cutback or take two touches when it was crying out for a first to ball and simple one touch football Billy Sharp was a waste of space today - we're desperate for a striker with pace, power and height to lead the line. It's not that he's a bad player - he just doesn't have the physical attributes we need upfront

Both teams can't sit back and try to hit each other on the break! Thought we were good tonight, if we'd have scored first then Reading would have had to change their style but never mind..onwards and upwards. Confident if we play like that for the next three games we will be fine.
Dr Who? Posted 14 April, 2012 Posted 14 April, 2012 Coventry will beat us 2-1 - you heard it here first!!! You say this and then say be positive a couple of posts down! If we do lose to Cov then I do not think we will go up.
S-Clarke Posted 14 April, 2012 Posted 14 April, 2012 You say this and then say be positive a couple of posts down! If we do lose to Cov then I do not think we will go up. Depends if we've beaten Posh and Boro before hand
