under the west stand Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Right . . . Black Sheep hasn't done it in the 1st half, will a switch to Adnams Broadside make the difference?
Glasgow_Saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Poor old Chappers is having one of those days. He should be replaced before the ref decides to send him on his way. Was our best player when we played at Reading...... Whats happened to him?
brightspark Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Great first half performance, honestly feeling confident. Even if it doesn't go our way, if we play like this - I will still be confident. COYR
Dalek2003 Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Well, a lot of huffing and puffing from Saints. Still, 2nd half might see more composure. A draw would be good, if we lose we will have to hope Wham lose as well !
dune Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Billy Sharp is just atrocious not good enough for top 10 championship let alone premier league, will be gone within 2 years Roll up roll up, we dominate for 45 mins, Reading have one shot and score, and up pop the idiots to run us down.
obelisk Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Reading have been riding their luck of late. This is just more of the same. If Fox hadn't decided to give the ball away Reading wouldn't have had a sniff.
Micky Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 ffs poor poor poor in front of goal yet again This. Lots of pretty good football, but powder puff finishing at the end of the day. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
niceandfriendly Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Cant argue with any of that. To coin a phrase, Reading look "comfortable" Definitely not. Far from it. We've been all over them, just can't finish.
Ohio Saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Great first half performance, honestly feeling confident. Even if it doesn't go our way, if we play like this - I will still be confident. COYR This is what is stopping me from getting too upset at the moment.
alpine_saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 To coin phrase "alpine saint talking sh/t as usual". Oh dear. I see duney is suffering from Surrogate Punchbag Syndrome.
suewhistle Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 well, they don't to be fair...its been all saints. clearly but poor in the pointy end of the pitch Well, sodding SportItalia isn't showing the game so I've only seen the last 15 minutes on a stream after rushing back from the bar and that seems a fair summary from what I've seen. Our passing forward has generally been good - not to much square and backwards - but crossing has been poor. De Ridder on for Chaplow - hampered by that card perhaps. As long a the team are less panicky than us.....
alpine_saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Definitely not. Far from it. We've been all over them, just can't finish. Well, that is pretty important.
SaltashSaint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Billy Sharp is not fast enough or strong enough, while Chaplow is having a mare - time for De Ridder.
Cascadia Saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Billy Sharp is just atrocious not good enough for top 10 championship let alone premier league, will be gone within 2 years Bunch of f u cking drama queens.
Jonnyboy Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Lambert has been a joy to watch imo. Alpine had been a tedious pr*ck.
WealdSaint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 We arn't playing badly is just that there has'nt been a really good finish to a move yet If we can get a goal in first 10 mins of second half we will go on and win
CanadaSaint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Our shape has been pretty good, with width on both sides, but Chappers needs replacing. I'd be inclined to go with De Ridder because he'll keep Harte occupied, but he needs to remember his defensive role. That was one lousy 30 seconds from Fox - the dire crossfield ball and then he let Kebe get the cross in.
Thedelldays Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Billy Sharp is not fast enough or strong enough, while Chaplow is having a mare - time for De Ridder. how on earth is sharp not strong enough... really ???
Ohio Saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 This second half will certainly be something! Sent from my HTC bumchum using Tittytalk
Sheaf Saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Well it's very annoying that we have been so dominant but find ourselves behind, but I take heart from the performance so far and as long as we remain patient then eventually the Reading defence will crack - of that I am certain. Just an observation I have made, and I fully expect to get flamed for it, but has anybody else noticed how much better we are keeping possession with Guly not in the team?
Redondo Saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 It's all my fault! I knew it was a mistake to watch in my offie at work. It's piZZing down in LA to make it worse!
dune Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Well, that is pretty important. No way. You know some stuff.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Possesion 57 Saints 43 Reading Shots 10 Saints 1 Reading Corners 3 Saints 1 Reading I know they are 1-0 up but hardly comfortabale Alpine!
Viking Warrior Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 One shot on goal and reading score . I have us down to win 2 -1 chapters is playing well chasing everything . Get behind the team for a change instead of having a go at players you Mongs who are moaning . Sorry but it's stressful to see us losing with out you guys having a moan
WealdSaint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 I'll stick my neck out..........Billy Sharp will bury one in first 10 minutes
Thedelldays Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 if chaplow comes out..i will be very disappointed
Dr Who? Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Trevor Francis in hospital - heart attack Get well soon Trev Get better soon Trevor
niceandfriendly Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Well, that is pretty important. Yeah, well done. Doesn't mean Reading are looking comfortable though does it?
Glasgow_Saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 I'll stick my neck out..........Billy Sharp will bury one in first 10 minutes Please
Lazlo78 Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Apart from the goal we've been fairly solid defensively against a very cohesive side. Offensively Lambert has been excellent at dropping deep and receiving the ball, but so far his three outlets have let him down - Sharp muscled off the ball, Lallana well up for it but not hitting anything and Chappers just having a bad day at the office. We ned... *gulp* ... Guly somewhere in the side. Someone to hold up the ball, activate the players around him (including Butterfield) and wait for Lambert to come back into the box.
Cascadia Saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Lambert has been a joy to watch imo. Alpine had been a tedious pr*ck. Had been? He's still going strong.
Micky Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 I think we've been excellent, we just need to keep our heads and sort our finishing out. Don't fancy our chances if reading get another though. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk

St Chalet Posted 13 April, 2012 Author Posted 13 April, 2012 We will be ok, they can't holdout for another half of this.
dune Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 if chaplow comes out..i will be very disappointed I won't, he's done alright, had a lot of the play. For every thing he's not got right guly wouldn't have even been there.
alpine_saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 I dont get you lot. Apart from a few flowery moves in the first 10mins, we havent threatened Federici at all.
SaintRobbie Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 We lost the 1st half, but carry on like we are doing and we'll win the 2nd. Reading don't deserve their lead. 75% of the time that means they'll lose it. COYR!
Thedelldays Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 I dont get you lot. Apart from a few flowery moves in the first 10mins, we havent threatened Federici at all. my god just fuk off
alpine_saint Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 We will be ok, they can't holdout for another half of this. Another half of what, FFS? Mis-hit fluffs from Lallana ?
Chin Strain Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 We will be ok, they can't holdout for another half of this. I hope not...but that's probably what Brighton thought....
Viking Warrior Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Alpine just shut the f*** up and get behind the team
Dark Munster Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Well it's very annoying that we have been so dominant but find ourselves behind, but I take heart from the performance so far and as long as we remain patient then eventually the Reading defence will crack - of that I am certain. Just an observation I have made, and I fully expect to get flamed for it, but has anybody else noticed how much better we are keeping possession with Guly not in the team? I'd rather he were on the pitch in the 2nd half than Chaplow (who's been utter shite).
Dr Who? Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Reading are being battered like they were on Tuesday...... They dig deep and are good at the back. Shock horror, Reading are good, and that is why they are up top!
niceandfriendly Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 Keep our headache??????? On here we have lucky smokes, and lucky nuns. In the Saints dressing room they all have lucky headaches.
Dr Who? Posted 13 April, 2012 Posted 13 April, 2012 I'd rather he were on the pitch in the 2nd half than Chaplow (who's been utter shite). De Ridder?
