Colinjb Posted 13 April, 2012 Share Posted 13 April, 2012 (edited) Taken over by Royals, they're not in friendly mood. One of them swung for me when I offered a handshake. Be warned. Edited 13 April, 2012 by Colinjb

rshephard3 Posted 13 April, 2012 Share Posted 13 April, 2012 I work with a huge Reading fan who seemed to think today that a load of their fans had been in Southampton since 1pm.. In my experience, football fans being in an opposing city for that long through an afternoon normally leads to.. Lets say.. Friendly banter! cdvdtz Posted 13 April, 2012 Share Posted 13 April, 2012 Someone on Twitter (not the most reliable source, I know) said she saw two Reading fans deck a Saints fan for no(?) reason. Not sure what's happening...
cdvdtz Posted 13 April, 2012 Share Posted 13 April, 2012 Also from Twitter, Rickie Lambert's name was roundly booed by the Reading fans when read out over the tannoy. Can only be related to the 'one-man team' thing? Pathetic if so.

cdvdtz Posted 13 April, 2012 Share Posted 13 April, 2012 you expect them to cheer him..? Odd thing to say. Of course not, but why boo when you can do nothing? They didn't boo any of our other players, so yes it's a bit strange.

cdvdtz Posted 13 April, 2012 Share Posted 13 April, 2012 not strange at all..he is very very much the danger man... Since when do fans boo players because they're good? It's been commented on by many, so I'm not the only one who finds it odd.
The Majestic Channon Posted 13 April, 2012 Share Posted 13 April, 2012 not strange at all..he is very very much the danger man... I'm pretty sure you would be the first to knock saints fans calling them 'precious' if they booed another teams best player for the sole reason he was their danger man. Dog Posted 14 April, 2012 Share Posted 14 April, 2012 I got head butted and then bottled in my right eye by 9 Reading fans in the church pub, good odds 9/1 but I stayed on my feet and took my punishment before being bitten twice on the hand by the dog patrol. All for wearing a classy jumper. That's the name of the game! Bad result, we played bloody excellent but Reading came into our back garden and stole our apples! Gutted is an understatement.
