spyinthesky Posted 11 April, 2012 Share Posted 11 April, 2012 Apart from Leeds, first game this season,we have been poor in all our TV games this year (what's new?) so as a card carrying pessimist I worry about Reading and Middlesboro I just hope we can put on a good show for the watching public and gain enough points to make Coventry a carnival event
Bearsy Posted 11 April, 2012 Share Posted 11 April, 2012 They only televise the difficult matches homie.
JonnyLove Posted 11 April, 2012 Share Posted 11 April, 2012 We could play like Lymington town Fc on a crap December Tuesday night after a Monday night on the town. As long as we get 3 points (but will settle for 1) then I could not care. This end of the season is about results not performances.
Super_Saint Posted 11 April, 2012 Share Posted 11 April, 2012 Non-saints fans I know must think we're awful. I always tell them to watch us on telly as we've been playing good football. After the Leeds and Blackpool game I decided I'm not going to say it to anyone anymore...
Give it to Ron Posted 11 April, 2012 Share Posted 11 April, 2012 We were decent against Birmingham considering the conditions.
MarkSFC Posted 11 April, 2012 Share Posted 11 April, 2012 its a strange one this cos when you think about EVERY game is on tv! Nerves shouldnt be anything to do with it but results for live tele suggests otherwise. I think this season its more to do with the fact that the opposition seem to get themselves up for it more - not tgat we wouldnt be as obviously over the season we are best - and thats almost certainly because its thd 'league leaders Friday though is different and is near as damn it The Championship decider and so far in the last 3 years this has hardly failed us when it really mattes. Mowgli Posted 11 April, 2012 Share Posted 11 April, 2012 Only lost 2 of 8 televised games. Would not say that is too bad.
Saint Garrett Posted 12 April, 2012 Share Posted 12 April, 2012 Think it's more about the fact the performances have been pretty bad.
S-Clarke Posted 12 April, 2012 Share Posted 12 April, 2012 To be fair, apart from the first game of the season, if a neutral had watched our live games after that, they'd be sat there thinking ''how the **** are they top?". But it's not because of TV, the games on TV just feel during our injury crisis and dips in form. We should be well up for Friday though. Can't wait.
