Why is it "oh Dear"?......do you know for a fact that the press box was not full?

And who cares less about a crap newspapers reporter not being let in anyway. Have you not seen whats gone on this year with our tabloids being exposed for being nothing more than crooked.

I couldnt give a damm about the press from some local rag!

There were already two portsmouth reporters at the game according to the link how many do they need to write a story.......Sounds like he is just upset he didn't get a free ticket to the biggest game of the season......he could have done what the echo do and bought a ticket and gone in as a paying fan....

It wasn't full but who cares?

The guy publicly called for Sibley to be sacked or offer an official apology for something on his personal account.

Cortese and Saints have just backed their man.

Considering the sensationalist and unnecessarily emotive trash that Allen came out with in his article after the game, I reckon the club showed good judgement here (and normally I make it a rule not to comment on newspaper articles as generally people are entitled to an opinion!)

Think he was more ****ed that he had to pay for his ticket than anything else. Also, why does it matter that he's an 'award-winning' journalist? They had two guys there already, how many does it take to write a biased match article?

How did he get a ticket for the away end, Did he come in the 'bubble' ?

Surely that is a offence that should result in at least a 12 month prison sentence.

Plenty of spare tickets...the bestest couldn't even sell their allocation to their biggest rivals.

Well done to Sibley..I'm sure he cares as little as I do...

this is old news, and that Neil Allen is a ***** and good on Sibley for not letting him in.

Was funny seeing him crying about it on twitter afterwards and then writing up a rubbish story about his journey and the abuse the buses got, wow unexpected.

just seen his latest tweet, this guy really is a sad tw*t.

Neil Allen ‏ @pn_neil_allen

"Now others are trying to get to the bottom of Pressboxgate. Justice must be served! #Pompey http://www.pressgazette.co.uk/story.asp?sectioncode=1&storycode=49091&c=1"

Justice must be served ?? umm the club can let in who they want, and if that means 1 less skate ***** then so be it.

wtf is this guy on.

Think you just have to read his follow up article below to see what a nice chap he really is and why he should have been let in for a free

Wow !

I would love to have seen his article from a few years ago when gangs of skates were waiting to ambush Saints coaches on their way back to civilisation.

Has NO-ONE picked up on Sibley's hilarious little comment in that article ?

“Understandably for such a high profile fixture (not only a local derby, but also a top vs second from bottom of the table clash), we had a large number of requests for accreditation, and as is the case in such circumstances, had to limit organisations to a set number of reporters/photographers in order to accommodate everyone fairly,” he said.

Cos, you know, those "top v second bottom" clashes are always heavily subscribed, and it definitely wasn't just him having a sly dig about Skate Cheats' crappy league position.

As he's the genius who gave us this...

...it's only fair it gets a run out on this thread.

One of my favourite ever pictures.

When the book is written about the takeover thread, that pic and the old lady with the scooter have to be included. In fact, if it wasn't for the fact that the "comedy" has ran for longer than a year, the picture of Skate Hawkins and his gang should be the front cover.

I have a natural distrust of PRs but I follow Sibley on Twitter and it's great to have what appears to be a genuine fan talking about us!

What a desperate piece of writing that was. Who would have thought a 2-2 draw against their most hated rivals could induce such jubilation. It was a draw FFS. :)

All he has done is expose their super angry bitterness and inferiority complex towards us and given us a priceless piccy to laugh at now.

Much more concerned about the results on the pitch than some spat with a journalist.

But...the club do seem to arrange their PR in an unorthodox and rather odd fashion (the ban on photographers leading papers to show the highlights in a cartoon strip, the ban on the Echo for what seems a minor breach of protocol etc)

It's not the most important thing in the world, but it does look a bit silly, weird and childish at times.

Media policy is very rarely straight forward and often comes down to the manager actually. Harry would let the world and their missus into the tunnel at full time, Burley then asked for only the people that absolutely had to be there to attend and no one else. Look at Ferguson, he bans anyone who looks at him the wrong way or doesn't dress appropriately.

This guy at the Portsmouth News is a small fish. It's not worth worrying about.
