I'll be suprised if it sells out, funds are getting low for a lot of people with two away games in a week coming up. About 28K ish is my guess

Well i've just shelled out for both Reading and Peterborough so everyone can FFS

Fair play mate, it really is a great time to be a Saints fan. I'm not doing Peterborough but am planning to do Middlesbrough. It's not just the cost of the tickets it's the beer that's killing me! Happy days!!

They should twin it with the Coventry game then it would sell out.

Didn't they twin Coventry with Barnsley & Ipswich? Twinning with Reading would have probably complicated matters.

They probably figured that Reading would need no twinning with another game.................. Then Sky pipe up and say they want to put it on the Telly, and pig it up

If we don't sell out for this one it'll be an utter disgrace and our stay aways should be ashamed of themselves. We should have sold out weeks ago. Relatively local derby, 1st v 2nd, 2nd last home game of the season, every chance we will be promoted before the next home game and a win will or only as good as send us up but possibly seal the title as well.

I await everyone saying how difficult it is on a Friday night, there a road works on Hill Lane, there are engineering works on the trains,, just got our new council tax bill, holidays to pay for, went to Palace, Easter is expensive, surprise aunties birthday parties and whatever excuse people have.

I've had to talk the other half into being in Southampton friday, rather than being in north devon.....

Was getting tickets for the 2 Boro games earlier and a bloke at the other window (who is clearly less of a fan than me) was buying Reading. He was asking how many were left for the game and was told "about 500". There were only a few blocks with tickets still available. The front 4 rows of Block 3 were still free, so I'm not sure if that 500 includes Blocks 1 & 2 being open yet or not. Either way that does mean we are pretty close to selling out what with a couple of days to go and the walk up.

Don't forget that there's a chance of rain on Friday evening. People won't want to be getting wet just for a game of football.

Bugger. I knew I'd forgot something! Funnily enough some people used the weather as an excuse, errr I mean reason, not to go earlier in the season.

Far from it. This isn't a p*ssing contest as to who is the biggest fan, I fail to understand how any proper fan would not do anything to be there, it's a massive game.

I'd do anything to get to any game - does that make me a super proper fan, Turkish? I need validation.

You seem to define a proper fan as someone who will do anything to get to the big games, I define a proper fan as someone who will do anything (yet sometimes fail) to get to any game. I know someone who was at Hartlepool away with me last season but can't make Friday, what are your thoughts on them?

Apologies if I've misunderstood your initial point.

I didn't say that's how I define them. I said I don't understand how any proper fan wouldn't be there. That is not the same thing at all.

Agree embarassing if we don't sell out - hard to think how a game could be set up at this stage of the season.

Listening to Don Goodman utterings is not the same. "not a penalty, definitely not a penalty, for me not a penalty" Although to be fair in pre season predictiosn stated "Southampton can use promotion from League One as a springboard for even more success" Opps sorry slipping off topic. Go to the bloody game b*stards!

I love it how upset people get about attendances Maybe it's me and I'm not getting something. Some fans on here not long ago were claiming this is the best side we've ever had, playing the best football they've ever seen and how great it is to be a Saints fan right now. Some fans are claiming we need a bigger stadium.

There are two games left this season and this is 1st v 2nd, its a local derby, we could effectively seal promotion on Friday. Under those circumstance I can't think of a single reason why this won't sell out or why "fans" wouldnt want to be there. In fact we sh

ould have sold out weeks ago and be turning people away in their droves yet all I get when mentioning it are snidy comments about thinking I'm a better fan than someone else. It's hilarious how so many think it's such a great time to be a Saints fan yet can't be arsed to go to games, even massive ones like this.

I don't find it too annoying that the ground isn't full as it's easier to get a pint at half time but it is a little odd seeing as we're on the crest of a wave, winning matches more often than not and so close to promotion.

I bet the ground will be full more often than not if we are promoted.

When I tried to get two tickets online yesterday all but block 13 were being reported full. I went to ticket office and was able to get two in block 5.

I hope ticketmaster do a better job of the online ticketing next season

It would be impossible to do a worse job.
