Roger Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 As its on sky would be a shame if not as we really need everyone there!
anothersaintinsouthsea Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 I got two tickets online yesterday afternoon, would suggest there's still a good few left still.
SNOWY Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 I'll be suprised if it sells out, funds are getting low for a lot of people with two away games in a week coming up. About 28K ish is my guess

SNOWY Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Well i've just shelled out for both Reading and Peterborough so everyone can FFS Fair play mate, it really is a great time to be a Saints fan. I'm not doing Peterborough but am planning to do Middlesbrough. It's not just the cost of the tickets it's the beer that's killing me! Happy days!!
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 should be a good crowd, I expect Reading will have sold their allocation, 29 - 30K I would hope
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 will be at least 30k. only chapel and corners left i think. reading sold their allocation of 3,000.
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Got three Itchen together at 9.20 when you posted so thats incorrect.
Alwightmush Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Got three Itchen together at 9.20 when you posted so thats incorrect. Which block was that in mate? Looking to get 3 later on after work, will report back what's left.
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 block 2 row hh, big queue behind me at 9.20am though!
inoffthepost Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 No. I've just bought a couple of tickets although was told that availability is getting difficult if you want more than one ticket.
Midfield_General Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 I just got a single ticket for Block 3 but only one row available and was told there are not many left.
Saint_lambden Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 On the TV on a Friday night or not, surely it has to sell out? Biggest game in years in the context of things.
ladysaint Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 I was surprised but managed to buy 4 adult tickets this afternoon online, this should certainly sell out, be disappointing if it doesn't.
Alwightmush Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Got 3 in Block 3 around 3pm. Think there was some the other end of the Itchen then and I expect in the Chapel.
southamptonfclegend Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 doubt it will be 30k... if so the club would have made a big deal about it on the OS being on schedule for a 'big gate'
ladysaint Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 They should twin it with the Coventry game then it would sell out.
John Boy Saint Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 They should twin it with the Coventry game then it would sell out. Didn't they twin Coventry with Barnsley & Ipswich? Twinning with Reading would have probably complicated matters. They probably figured that Reading would need no twinning with another game.................. Then Sky pipe up and say they want to put it on the Telly, and pig it up
Amesbury Saint Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Should twin it with next seasons man united game
Turkish Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 If we don't sell out for this one it'll be an utter disgrace and our stay aways should be ashamed of themselves. We should have sold out weeks ago. Relatively local derby, 1st v 2nd, 2nd last home game of the season, every chance we will be promoted before the next home game and a win will or only as good as send us up but possibly seal the title as well. I await everyone saying how difficult it is on a Friday night, there a road works on Hill Lane, there are engineering works on the trains,, just got our new council tax bill, holidays to pay for, went to Palace, Easter is expensive, surprise aunties birthday parties and whatever excuse people have.

Easter hols, and plenty of people of folks gone away? I've had to talk the other half into being in Southampton friday, rather than being in north devon.....
The Cat Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Was getting tickets for the 2 Boro games earlier and a bloke at the other window (who is clearly less of a fan than me) was buying Reading. He was asking how many were left for the game and was told "about 500". There were only a few blocks with tickets still available. The front 4 rows of Block 3 were still free, so I'm not sure if that 500 includes Blocks 1 & 2 being open yet or not. Either way that does mean we are pretty close to selling out what with a couple of days to go and the walk up.

Turkish Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 You're Saints biggest fan - fact. Far from it. This isn't a p*ssing contest as to who is the biggest fan, I fail to understand how any proper fan would not do anything to be there, it's a massive game.

Don't forget that there's a chance of rain on Friday evening. People won't want to be getting wet just for a game of football.
Turkish Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Don't forget that there's a chance of rain on Friday evening. People won't want to be getting wet just for a game of football. Bugger. I knew I'd forgot something! Funnily enough some people used the weather as an excuse, errr I mean reason, not to go earlier in the season.

This isn't a p*ssing contest as to who is the biggest fan, I fail to understand how any proper fan would not do anything to be there, it's a massive game. I'd do anything to get to any game - does that make me a super proper fan, Turkish? I need validation.
Turkish Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 I'd do anything to get to any game - does that make me a super proper fan, Turkish? I need validation. Are you going Friday?
saintmatt Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Are you going Friday? Does Rickie Lambert score penalties?
Turkish Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Does Rickie Lambert score penalties? So what's your point then?
saintmatt Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 (edited) You seem to define a proper fan as someone who will do anything to get to the big games, I define a proper fan as someone who will do anything (yet sometimes fail) to get to any game. I know someone who was at Hartlepool away with me last season but can't make Friday, what are your thoughts on them? Apologies if I've misunderstood your initial point. Dan Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 I phoned up this afternoon and bought 8 in a row in the itchen south. Seemed like that was the only part of the ground with much availability.
ladysaint Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Think it will sell out now after the result tonight, what a cracker in store.
anothersaintinsouthsea Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Tickets? Check. Face paint? Check. Comedy wig? Check. Drum? Check. Words to that catchy Palace song? Check. Super fan? ****ing check.
supersonic Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 only odd seats available in blocks 11,13+14 left.
whelk Posted 11 April, 2012 Posted 11 April, 2012 Bugger. I knew I'd forgot something! Funnily enough some people used the weather as an excuse, errr I mean reason, not to go earlier in the season. I wish I did for the Millwall cup game - cold it was
whelk Posted 11 April, 2012 Posted 11 April, 2012 Agree embarassing if we don't sell out - hard to think how a game could be set up at this stage of the season. Listening to Don Goodman utterings is not the same. "not a penalty, definitely not a penalty, for me not a penalty" Although to be fair in pre season predictiosn stated "Southampton can use promotion from League One as a springboard for even more success" Opps sorry slipping off topic. Go to the bloody game b*stards!
trousers Posted 11 April, 2012 Posted 11 April, 2012 Football fans in getting overwrought about how many people will be in a football stadium shocker
Thedelldays Posted 11 April, 2012 Posted 11 April, 2012 I really don't understand when fans take it personally if there are empty seats...?
Glasgow_Saint Posted 11 April, 2012 Posted 11 April, 2012 Sometimes i buy 250 tickets and dont go! Keep calm and dont worry about empty seats
dubai_phil Posted 11 April, 2012 Posted 11 April, 2012 Saints FC @officialsaints Go Gold For Reading: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2729615,00.html #saintsfc What sort of fans ARE you lot? You haven't even sold out Corporate yet? C'mon I mean, it's ONLY 150 quid (+VAT) Don't y'all have expense accounts FFS?
Tokyo-Saint Posted 11 April, 2012 Posted 11 April, 2012 Can we just put all forum members on a list or a spreadsheet and get Turkish, Griffo and Sourmash to list everyone in order of how much a fan they are and then leave this agrument in the past.
svetigpung Posted 11 April, 2012 Posted 11 April, 2012 I'll be watching on Sky , but with saints shirt on. fan or super fan?
Turkish Posted 11 April, 2012 Posted 11 April, 2012 (edited) I love it how upset people get about attendances Maybe it's me and I'm not getting something. Some fans on here not long ago were claiming this is the best side we've ever had, playing the best football they've ever seen and how great it is to be a Saints fan right now. Some fans are claiming we need a bigger stadium. There are two games left this season and this is 1st v 2nd, its a local derby, we could effectively seal promotion on Friday. Under those circumstance I can't think of a single reason why this won't sell out or why "fans" wouldnt want to be there. In fact we sh ould have sold out weeks ago and be turning people away in their droves yet all I get when mentioning it are snidy comments about thinking I'm a better fan than someone else. It's hilarious how so many think it's such a great time to be a Saints fan yet can't be arsed to go to games, even massive ones like this. Edited 11 April, 2012 by Turkish
Raging Bull Posted 11 April, 2012 Posted 11 April, 2012 I don't find it too annoying that the ground isn't full as it's easier to get a pint at half time but it is a little odd seeing as we're on the crest of a wave, winning matches more often than not and so close to promotion. I bet the ground will be full more often than not if we are promoted.
Liquidshokk Posted 11 April, 2012 Posted 11 April, 2012 When I tried to get two tickets online yesterday all but block 13 were being reported full. I went to ticket office and was able to get two in block 5. I hope ticketmaster do a better job of the online ticketing next season
