The Brighton and Hove Albion Appreciation Thread

Reading at home tomorrow

West Ham away on Saturday.

I always did like Poyet as a manager. Such a humble and well spoken manager. His teams are always fair and play great football in the right spirit. A lot of brighton fans at the start of the season were claiming Mackail-Smith is better than Lambert and I for one agree with them.

So come on then, lets discus all the things we love most about the Seaguls. ;)

They also own a nice stadium. It's most unfair to give Gus such an earful after another entertaining season, after all they have kept up just outside the top six. We do so hope that they are in the playoff positions by the end of Saturday.

Good thread, I too think we should express our admiration for them and think Adkins should be whipped to within an inch of his life for not giving them a guard of honour last season.

Going further, I really wish we had a manager who involved himself in the game more, trying to get opponents players sent off.

And I admire the loyalty shown by the bestest ever right back thw world has ever seen,Caulderon, sometimes cruelly referred to as Indigo Cardigan (sn!gger, sn!gger) by their fans, in staying with them instead of taking the 'filthy money' on offer.

Gus Poyet is not a monkey faced tramp, in fact I think he's gorgeous and I want to sex him and have his babies. In fact if they win both their games this week, I'll let the whole team orgy me up the butt because they're a fine bunch of fellows with big winkies.

(Offer withdrawn if 6 points not achieved, I only sleep with winners. Hi to Rickie BTW.)

All joking aside they are a really lovely club, with lovely team spirit and the ability to hit form over the next week. In the event that Sir Harry is passed by England their lovely manager Gus 'Fairplay' Poyet, ex Chelsea legend would seem the natural choice to lead his adopted country, a country that loves and respects him. His teams can play exciting attacking football both within and a few miles outside the M25. With the demise of the skates and the failure of Bournemouth to become the new Spartak Moscow, the seagulls are our natural rivals, and our new best friends!

Don't get me started on the padded seats...

Brighton remind me of the brother I never had. Unlike Pompey, who remind me of the brother I had over the kitchen table every Friday night when we both got home from the pub.

Your posts are a bit worrying, even after the edit.:scared: I thought on the couch was iffy.

oh the dilemma for every Brighton fan....wish like mad that their team wins their next 2 games.....and give their bitter rivals almost certain promotion

or

hope they lose their next 2 matches.... on the chance this might bugger up Saints promotion chances......but with the cost of their own hopes of possible promotion via the playoffs

The way i see it....its LOSE LOSE if you are a Brighton fan

Brighton will want their team to win. They really aren't that bothered about us unless we're playing each other, certainly not enough to want to lose to spite us.

Now we aren't really fighting each other in the league, they're just another normal team IMO.

Brighton are truly a shining example of a club embracing their community, and lead the way. We too should do more to encourage arsebandits/shirtlifters into football.

In fact anyone in capped tee-shirts, leather caps and sporting a Freddie Mercury moustache should be given complimentary tickets to attend matches (if Brighton beat Reading).

I know that...you know that....and every other Saints fan knows that.....but you trying telling that deluded lot down the coast that!

And i'm sure every Brighton fan with 2 brain cells would want their team to win every game (see i gave some fans credit for possibly having 2 brain cells)

I think they're a bunch of cheating, diving cnvts, and I want them to be at their very best at it for the next week or so, before hilariously missing out on the playoffs. As a pointer, if it was between them and Cardiff for a playoff place I'd probably want Cardiff to get it.

Unfortunately cannot see Brighton picking up 1 point from those 2 games, pretty ordinary side.Would be very happy to be proved wrong though.

With the way the results have fallen today, tomorrow is a great chance for them to get back into the playoffs. I can't see them giving that up lightly. It's a very tricky game for Reading to come through, and if they do win it then I think it's us 2 that go up - just a matter of which order it's in!

Also worth noting that Brighton haven't lost at home yet this year.

How about Saints, Reading and Brighton going up !

It would be nice for the national media to see what a bunch of cnvts Poyet's lot are, so I wouldn't be entirely anti-, but I'd much rather see them left in our dust.

I reckon Leicester will sneak up in the playoffs, they've come from no where and are now 3 points outside....they do have the players, as we saw from their spending in the summer, and they now have a decent manager to get the best out of them.

WHU also have to go there, so it's all setup very Nicky in our favor.

Yesterday I actually thought Leicester would go up, they've been on a hell of a run and are playing well. But I've just checked to make sure that they're not on that run of crappy opponents everyone has had this season, and actually they are, and have not beaten anyone of note. So they'll probably either stall in a couple of games and just miss out, or just hit the wall of playing a decent side in the playoffs. I'd quite like them to beat West Ham on the way for lolz though.
