Chaplow

He was super, held the ball well and linked up excellently with Rickie and the rest of the midfield. He is just the sort of player you need at this stage of the season. A real battler.

The whole team was excellent. A special mention to Billy, Cork and Lala, who worked their socks off. Defence was also immense, Butterfield especially.

Why oh why didn't he play on Saturday!?

He would not have made any difference on Saturday.

He was good today, but my gran could have looked good in that midfield today. She died over 15 years ago and is still more mobile and robust than Palace's midfield.

The exclusion zone around Chernobyl is closer than anyone got to Cork or Chaplow today....

Was much better but hard to judge given the time and space all our midfield had. I had Hammond down as the best midfielder just edging out Cork. Even Lallana got stuck in winning the ball which led to our second. If anything, when it came to that little bit of quality, Chaplow's touch let him down. In the second half, had a great a chance to poke the ball around their corner for an runner to have a free shot from six yards; but overhit his pass.

Both FBs were also very good. Butterfield looked very composed and had to deal with Zaha for most of the game -indeed Zaha only looked dangerous after he switched flanks.
