voteforpedro Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Can you not just put each other on ignore? You're constant bickering really is embarrassing. Dune and Alpine that is.

Marino Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Its just a minority who get on Guly's case. The same morons who need a boo-boy every season otherwise they wont be happy. Guly's scored some important goals for us and should be supported/applauded rather than jeered. Great result for the boys today, well done Adkins to get the team focused again after Saturday.
Viking Warrior Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Get in Brum . They have been treatening to score
Lazlo78 Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 jos hooiveld @joshooiveld20 Great victoy witnessed by 6000 incredible fans! Thanks for the support, looked like we played at home today! #COYR Jack Cork @jackcork1 Great win, great support, great day. Now let's take it onto Friday! Also big respect to all that cycled here today for charity. #coyr Richard chaplow @Rchap04 Thanks to the 6,000 fans willing us on makes a massive difference all the lads appreciate it #saintsfc #12thman
corsacar saint Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Massive result, sets up friday now and hopefully Reading and West Ham both drop points before friday.
Viking Warrior Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 2-0 brum . this is turning in to be a good day for us
The Kraken Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Brum 2-0!! Ha ha ha!!!! Come on Brum. Great stuff. Marlon King; utter scumbag but I'm a fan just for today.
andysstuff Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 If the West Ham result staye, 5 points from 4 games is enough
Saint137 Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Still don't get why the fans hate Guly, scored a lot of big goals earlier in the season that kept you up the top then has been sacrificed to play RM and only gets **** from the fans. Disgraceful puts me off you wanting to go up at times but West Ham are much worse I wonder if it's institutional racism. Over the last ten years I would say the whipping boys have been... Guly BWP McGoldrick Kenywne Jones Fuller McCann Wooton Fair share of black players in there. Antonio got a fair bit last year before winning us over. Admittedlly this is balanced out somewhat by Theo, Oxo, Deano, and the Wallaces but I do wonder if certain sections of the crowd are quick to get on the backs of black players.
Jonnyboy Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Happy days! Just wondering, was the performance that different from Saturday? i.e. were Palace just lacking two wondergoals? (Wouldve prefered a Cov win. Either way hopefully we are alreday promoted by the last game or they are already safe/relegated)
The Kraken Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 (edited) I wonder if it's institutional racism. Here we go again, the old racism card. Well done for listing two white fellas in there though. BWP was never much of a boo boy, he was a frustarting player in that he had plenty of talent that went to waste. Fuller was pilloried because he was from Pompey and unfit/lazy. mcGoldrick was just sh*t, a homeless man's Andy Cole. Kenwyne Jones? He was revered while here, and only disliked due to the nature of his strike to get a move away. he was always a popular player, so I think you might have made that one up. If racism is such a problem at Saints, can you explain how we can have had such affection for the likes of Danny Wallace, Reuben Agboola, Rod Wallace, Ken Monkou, Dean Richards, Radhi Jaidi etc etc, plus the others that you mention? But the PC brigade love to chuck in the old racism accusation. Edited 9 April, 2012 by The Kraken
Thedelldays Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 walcott was a little popular if I remember rightly...
The Kraken Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 walcott was a little popular if I remember rightly... Not really, he's black, no-one liked him because of that.
Jonnyboy Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 someone sent a text in asking dave to say hello to alpine saint and he said something like "i'm not saying hello to alpine saint". I thought the text more "tell Alpine to cheer up and not be negative." And they just read that out and moved on.
Lazlo78 Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 A post match thread with a racism discussion and WHam updates... c'mon, let's keep things separated billy sharp @billysharp10 Great win today, professional performance, 2 good goals, 3 vital points, and 6 thousand loud saints fans. #coyr Steve Corns @Cornsy69 Never heard such a great atmosphere at an away game b4! Credit to the 6000 fans and those who braved the weather on there bikes! #saintsfc Steve De Ridder @stief87 Buzzing...#greatsupport Adam Lallana @adlallana1 What a great team performance today with 2 lethal finishes from Lambo!! The 6000 fans made a difference, same again on Friday #COYR
The Kraken Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 I thought the text more "tell Alpine to cheer up and not be negative." That's like telling a compass not to point north, to be fair.
Lighthouse Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 That's like telling a compass not to point north, to be fair. So you're saying if we give him a great big magnet, he will cheer up?
Lazlo78 Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 So six player tweets so far all mentioning the great support - massive respect to the 6000 who went and helped the boys claim three vital points today. After Saturday we all needed this, but it was by no means ensured that we'd get it. This is starting to look good...
dune Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 I thought the text more "tell Alpine to cheer up and not be negative." And they just read that out and moved on. That was another time. Another one was something about Mr Grumpy from Austria.
Cricketphilly Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Leave Alps alone, I love his posts! I don't want to read happy clappy, everything is rosy in the garden. It's part of the fun.
yorkie Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 What a fantastic day so far...all we need is Brighton to do the business tomorrow, and we put Reading to the sword on Friday! I don't just want promotion now - I want the tin pot at the end of it.

alpine_saint Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 someone sent a text in asking dave to say hello to alpine saint and he said something like "i'm not saying hello to alpine saint". So he didnt call me a numpty then ? Has he ever said hello to someone, or have you assumed its specific to suit your sad obsessed agenda ?
saintds Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 On the coach back from Dellhurst Park. WHam game playing out & we're loving it!Saints were fantastic today. Back to our best on a pudding of a pitch, albeit against a disinterested Palace. 6000 fans going nuts. No wonder Palace need that ****in drum otherwise their support would be non existent.Feel much better ahead of Friday night. Come on the Brummies & The Nancyboys...
saintds Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 I think the people who hate Guly and boo him are arseholes. FFS, he beat Middlesbrough by himself. He got a good reception today & was roundly applauded for some tackles he put in once on the pitch. I certainly didn't hear any booing today so not sure why he didn't want to hang around at full time.
SuperSAINT Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Brilliant result today. I was so deflated after the Skate game, so to win today was massively important for us. Sets us up nicely for Reading.. Right, gotta get back to watching the West Ham game.
suewhistle Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Just got in from our club open day and barbecue where I was superb at table footie and 7 a-side (...), checked the OS and 'YES!'.. what a great day. No stress listening to DM, no stress reading the manic depresssives on here (only thro' quotes mind;-) ), and I can now go and digest the post match thread in a hazy wine and beered up but exercised and showered alcoholic haze... griiinnnn
suewhistle Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Thanks supersaint, I didn't realise. Now watching WH losing on a stream.!
Clifford Nelson Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 I have seen Guly play some of the most accomplished football I've ever seen at Saints, but it is now some time ago, and for some time he has been mediocre. I really think he is affected by the continous bile and the instant sighing every time he makes a mistake, like blaming him for the misdirected pass from Lambert on Saturday, which ultimately led to the first blue goal. If he has lost his confidence by now it only shows he is human. I am ashamed over the treatment he is being given at our club. No wonder he doesn't want to go out and meet the fans. On a happier note I'm delighted that we are on our way to the PL. A cracking result!

Legod Third Coming Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Great result today watched from the Palace family stand Met some decent people, mainly more depressed than Alpine - not surprised watching that lot! Jack Cork ran that game but Palace were mental to play so deep against a team that thrives on possession,. I would go so far as to say that was the worst taactical performance against us all season. Unless we were given the freedom of Selhurst before I arrived??
eelpie Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Saints just need six points for promotion (bar a West Ham mathematical upset) The most West Ham can get now are 88 points
Professor Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 So we are now 2 wins from the Prem! And if we beat Reading we'll be two wins from the title, even if Reading win all their other matches.
SOTONS EAST SIDE Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 6 points clear of Waste Ham, 3 clear of Reading at the mo. And if Brighton do the biz tomorrow, a draw would be a good result for us on friday!!!
alpine_saint Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 West Ham 3 Brum 3 (Vaz Te) Oh, a penalty. What a surprise. Prepare for some dodgy decisions over the last 4 rounds of games.
