Saint_clark Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Not very. I've had confidence since we came out of the sh*te patch around christmas that we would go up.
aintforever Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Not nervous at all, quite fancy another trip to Wembley anyway.

Smirking_Saint Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 More nervous than I was 2 weeks ago but still think we are promoted, more nervous about staying in prem TBH, certainly not a doom and gloom merchant.
dune Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 No, but you have turned into a c*ck-waving Über-Fan tosspot. Good afternoon my little ray of sunshine, are you feeling all positive and upbeat in anticipation of the game?

gandalf Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 The worst bit about listening to merrington and co is the having to listen to the lunatics who text in at the game, just when you hope to hear a decent few interviews the continualy read out several retards messages Like the ones who text in complaining about Guly when he wasn't even playing!
Ohio Saint Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 I'm very nervous. I've stopped hoping for winning the league, and only have eyes on WHam.
alpine_saint Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 I'm very nervous. I've stopped hoping for winning the league, and only have eyes on WHam. Entirely understandable. The title is gone, imo. Reading are just waiting for the coronation next Friday.
S-Clarke Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Entirely understandable. The title is gone, imo. Reading are just waiting for the coronation next Friday. If this is all you're going to say all afternoon, then **** off to Readings forum. Seriously, support the team or **** off.
alpine_saint Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 If this is all you're going to say all afternoon, then **** off to Readings forum. Seriously, support the team or **** off. Get a grip. Everyone knows deep-down the fight is over 2nd place now.
S-Clarke Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Get a grip. Everyone knows deep-down the fight is over 2nd place now. Nope, only you and a couple of other bed wetters. The rest of us work on the facts that were are still TOP, we have the best GD, and we play Reading at HOME. I'd say it's you who needs to get a grip.
Thedelldays Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 If this is all you're going to say all afternoon, then **** off to Readings forum. Seriously, support the team or **** off. how can the title be gone...whilst sat on top of the league... can you explain please alpine cheers
S-Clarke Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 how can the title be gone...whilst sat on top of the league... can you explain please alpine cheers ask alpine, not me.
Thedelldays Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 ask alpine, not me. poor quoting from me....im still drunk
Ohio Saint Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Don't get me wrong, I still hope for the title, and I know we can win it. It's just less important to me now.
alpine_saint Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 how can the title be gone...whilst sat on top of the league... can you explain please alpine cheers Because we've lost our form and the treatment table is building up again and Reading are pretty much unstoppable now. As if you needed it spelt out. But I've noticed this moronic tactic you've developed.
dune Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Get a grip. Everyone knows deep-down the fight is over 2nd place now. What has happened to the little ray of sunshine we know and love?
Thedelldays Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Because we've lost our form and the treatment table is building up again and Reading are pretty much unstoppable now. As if you needed it spelt out. ok.....I dont agree but fair enough
obelisk Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Reading are pretty much unstoppable now. That's funny 'cos the Reading fans around me were saying that about Saints just a couple of weeks ago. Reading ain't Barcelona y'know.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 heading out in a few hours once i get the two lads out of bed. nervous yes a little bit just like i was at Luton many years ago or Orient, twice, for that matter but the nerves will be over come and this 58 year old man is ready to give his all frpm the terraces and really hope i do not have to read any threads tomorrow moaning about the support The support sounds good on the radio Mike, can't say I've heard Palarse yet although there is a drum in the mix somewhere.
dune Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Get a grip. Everyone knows deep-down the fight is over 2nd place now. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
John B Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Get a ****ing grip Football is just a game a past time it will not be the end of the world if we dont go up. That said we will be in the PL next season because West Ham will not catch us I hope every one is calm Pl here we come Well done to Cortese Adkins and Pardew (for bringing in Lambert and Fonte)
Smirking_Saint Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Get a grip. Everyone knows deep-down the fight is over 2nd place now. Uber lol You epic mong
kpturner Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 It stayed 2-0.....Jose hit row z Actually had a great chance with a header that the goalie saved.
Ohio Saint Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Update: I'm somewhat less nervous than I was in any previous posts.
S-Clarke Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Uber lol You epic mong He always comes out with stupid snap statements like this, and then he's made to look like an idiot. He's made it clear time and time again that he has no knowledge of football, he doesn't listen to our games or watch our games - yet his opinions are so strong and 'right' compared to guys that do watch the team regularly. He frustrates me because he needlessly brings down threads with his drivel when it's not needed.

Ziggy Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Nervous yes. Four games to go and six points ahead of third - beyond my wildest dreams this time last year, absolutely! What a performance from the lads all season. Forget anything else we have been immense. Looking forward to Friday and also going to Peterboro! I am always less nervous at the games!
Ohio Saint Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 And yet a lot of you continue to bite. Who's the bigger fool? Still Alpine, TBF
SNSUN Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 It only takes one bad set of results for us to really start worrying, but a win on Friday and I don't think I'd be nervous for the rest of the season. Now? A tad nervous yes, but I had us down for a win against Pompey and a draw at Palace, so I'm still contented.
70's Mike Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 The support sounds good on the radio Mike, can't say I've heard Palarse yet although there is a drum in the mix somewhere. was good Andy, tried to explain to my lads what it was like at Luton in 78. I know allseaters been better control over trouble makers but it does limit numbers. Sure we could have taken more than 6000 today but fair play to Palace they did try to maximise their income by giving us 6000.

SNSUN Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Yes but with West Ham drawing it makes things much better. I actually had them down for a loss there, so they're a point better off than I thought they'd be.
Smirking_Saint Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 And yet a lot of you continue to bite. Who's the bigger fool? Probably true, but still I think ill call him thrush.
ThorpG Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Yes but with West Ham drawing it makes things much better. Going up as Champions. Reading will slip up vs. Brighton and we will consign them to 2nd place when we beat them on Friday. Adkins and the team have a winning mentality (that's why they they were able to get over the Skates game and win comfortably away today).
hutch Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 do we want to reveal our worst nightmares? Absolutely not. I 3-0 am really looking forward to Blackpool in the play-off semi's. Sweet dreams.
The9 Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Get a grip. Everyone knows deep-down the fight is over 2nd place now. He's sort of right, it's about not finishing as low as second.
Thedelldays Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Entirely understandable. The title is gone, imo. Reading are just waiting for the coronation next Friday. Why do you make such ridiculous statements week after week? Do you really think the title is gone?

Adkins and the team have a winning mentality (that's why they they were able to get over the Skates game and win comfortably away today). ...and then if Wham beat Brighton, Reading are 3rd.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Why do you make such ridiculous statements week after week? Do you really think the title is gone? Very true he does make lots of those types but you are obviously after the acclaim too after the thread opening "gem" below Please ask for a transfer Cheers Tdd
Minty Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Why do you make such ridiculous statements week after week? Do you really think the title is gone? Without it descending into sillyness, this is a fair question alpine. The forum has a full spectrum of opinions on it, as it rightly should, most of which I can understand somewhat even if I don't agree with them, but yours I just see zero logic in. You claimed that it was because we were out of form and had increasing injury problems, but that 'loss of form' was 1 admittedly very poor game (Blackpool) and a classic local derby in which 'form' rarely applies or leaves a legacy. Nervousness and anxiety I completely understand, over the years we've been put through the wringer and it is to be expected, but after everything that he has achieved with us, I find your negativity an insult to Nigel Adkins... a 'what have the Romans ever done for us' type moment. If the last two seasons haven't changed your outlook even one iota then frankly, I think you need to drop football and find something else that might give you some hope.
Window Cleaner Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Why do you make such ridiculous statements week after week? Do you really think the title is gone? If he is he can't have seen the state of Reading's midfield.

A mate from work emailed me and said he was in the pompey end at the weekend.. they celebrated like they won..because we were by far the better team...he admits it..they got very lucky that day. he said you could tell too many saints fans expected to turn up for the win....to which he said to me, did you really think pompey would just turn up and roll over..? yet, alpine immediately said we played crap on saturday (when we very much did not) and the team are bottle-jobs....(which we are not) I just don't understand why the rash statements....I remember on here when we were 2-1 to milllwall and that was it.....season over right there, right then..
Saintandy666 Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 I would prefer reading to go up. Know Lots of Reading fans and it would be nice to have some southern clubs in the prem. Brighton to go up via playoffs.
