How poor are our ticket selling policies. Pretty clear at Palace on Monday how much the players appreciated the travelling numbers. Looks unlikely we'll sell out for Tuesday now.

I had a mate who rang up yesterday and was advised it was sold out. They failed to mention that they were waiting to receive further tickets. They're clueless morons in that office.

just logged on..and was given the option of buying terrace tickets..

:/

They were showing as sold out yesterday morning. We've since received another allocation, which the club would've known all along we were getting.

That's because we've received another 2000 tickets.

Ditto, except i phoned them up. couldnt be bothered to call again for terraced, so just got seated. i wonder if I will still be able to get into the terraces with seated tickets though?

I bought 2 x seat tickets yesterday as terraces were sold out. Earlier today after terraces became available again, I phoned up and swapped them over. Even got a tenner back. You can do that if they havent printed out the tickets yet. Call this number rather than the normal one.

I chose to collect my tickets before the Reading game.

I was sarcastically making the point that nobody cares if you've received your tickets. Hope this clears up any misunderstanding.

People do care because the first post asked if people had received their tickets. I don't think it unreasonable to answer the original question.

I care. Thanks for posting it. I was really worried about my tickets until i saw your post. I ordered them on the first day they went on sale and when i saw that yours had been recieved it was a real relief to know that someone else had been waiting. I popped out at 11.30 and when i got back my tickets had indeed arrived as well. So firstly, thanks for posting that yours were here and secondly, i now feel we can become the most excellent forum friends now because our tickets arrived on the same day. I feel we have a special bond. Something that sarcastic f*ckers like This Charming Man could never understand.

I am sure the club knew the extra tickets had been applied for, what they did not know 100% was whether they would receive them. This was explained well by the Palace chairman recently over the extra tickets from Palace. They have to consult with the Police over safety and the police will then set the level of officers and stewards for the particular game and crowd. If the Police demand a level of policing that does not make financial sense, it would come as no surprise that Peterborough would deny the extra tickets, as would the Police if they could not meet the staffing requirements.

It looked pretty nailed on Saints would get the extra tickets, but stating that is another matter.

The banter about having received tickets or not is what sets this forum apart from other clubs. God bless the ticket office for assisting with the pandemonium.

Don't be ridiculous. OUr ticket office has been a farce all season and this is just another example of it. I'm surprised people still use/trust the ticket purchasing part of the website to be honest.

I recieved my tickets yesterday. The woman in the ticket office passed them through the window to me. I also parked on Britannia Road for free, thus saving any car parking charges and the £3 ticket tax.

I win.

Thanks for the sarcasm but it wasn't me that was being criticised.

Who is being ridiculous? I know the ticket office have made mistakes, more than a normal season. But what indication do you have this is one of them? Cortese would have signed this off for the extra tickets and it would not surprise me that the demand was influenced by the Monday results, let alone this Fridays.

Peterborough was always likely to be a popular away game, it's the only ground in the Championship with terracing. The only downside to the game is that it's midweek, but we've already shown this season that that isn't really putting people off. Peterborough can't sell tickets in the Moyes End terrace to home fans if the away team don't fill it (and they don't have the fanbase to do so anyway), and when West Ham went there a couple of weeks ago, they sold all 4000-odd terrace tickets in the space of three days, which would suggest they had them all in one go. There's no reason why Posh wouldn't give us all the tickets in one go if we wanted them.

My theory is that they deliberately make buying away tickets difficult to try to maximise home sales aswell as their usual trick of opening the sales 'window' on non match days to maximise ticket tax receipts. As to the club knowing they were getting the full 3500 for the terrace I know for a fact they knew this a week ago because I telephone PUFC and the receptionist said she had just been in contact with SFC to confirm the full allocation to them.

As a Tory, surely you should applaud this maximising of profits. Or do you only approve of the free market supply and demand, only in certain circumstances?

As a proper Tory I approve of a lot of things until they affect me.;)

Superb information. I've just done exactly the same. Hopefully on the back of a good result against Reading we will take a few.

There are plenty of tickets in home seated areas. The terrace behind the goal is alright for the novelty of standing, but the view is terrible.

its costs a fortune for me to go to SMS from home..let alone an away day...so have to pick my games...

well tbh i wouldn't even contemplate a night match at P'boro from where you are (i'm assuming you're still in plymouth).
