kpturner Posted 8 April, 2012 Posted 8 April, 2012 Has anyone received theirs by post yet? I bought Middlesbrough tickets and Peterborough tickets online the same time. Middlesbrough tickets arrived last week but no sign of Peterborough tickets! Normally I wouldn't be concerned but recent ticket office cock-ups have shattered my confidence.
kpturner Posted 8 April, 2012 Author Posted 8 April, 2012 mine came yesterday,Hmmph! Oh well, a while to go yet before I should get really bothered. I just didn't expect Middlesbrough tickets to show up first.
marc_saint Posted 8 April, 2012 Posted 8 April, 2012 I went to buy tickets yesterday to be told they are only on sale to season ticket holders until tomorrow. With a terrace that can take upto 4500 why do we have to keep the timelines so tight!? So General sale tomorrow. Could be the night we get promoted!
gjphilsaint Posted 8 April, 2012 Posted 8 April, 2012 I bought mine online last wednesday.... not here yet, but with the easter collections from the PO I am not worried yet.
Ian the Red Posted 8 April, 2012 Posted 8 April, 2012 Ordered mine on Thursday not arrived yet........
bowers-sfc Posted 8 April, 2012 Posted 8 April, 2012 Think tickey office have made a cock up along the lines. ordered my peterborough tickets on monday, and my middlesborough tickets on tuesday, my middlesborough tickets arrived on wednesday? when i phoned the ticket office on thursday after no tickets still, they told me they were sent on the 3rd and to go to the ticket office before the pompey game when i got to the ticket office they told me they sent them on the 4th? so, see if my tickets arrive...
marc_saint Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Was told by the ticket office on Saturday that non season ticket holders could buy from today. Just phoned up to be told they are sale from tomorrow. Really don't see why they have to have the timelines so tight.
LGTL Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 Ordered both last Monday and only Middlesbrough have arrived. They'll come tomorrow I expect.
St Chalet Posted 9 April, 2012 Posted 9 April, 2012 What is the allocation, looking to pick one up this week.
marc_saint Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 The initial allocation is 1000 odd tickets. But the terrace holds nearly 4000 so there'll be enough to go round.
Dalek2003 Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 There will be plenty of room on the terraces, you can get in from a walk up.
bender Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 I'm gonna try tomorrow as I'm not an ST holder. Just went online and got 2 tickets as they are now on sale to non-ST holders. Just seats though - terrace sold out. I've selected to pick tickets up though - at Reading game.

Middlesbrough tickets arrived last week but no sign of Peterborough tickets! Normally I wouldn't be concerned but recent ticket office cock-ups have shattered my confidence. I'd give them a bell. Every time I've ordered tickets for more than one game on-line, they've mucked up. Ordered West Ham and Millwall away tickets and they sent out more West Ham tickets than I actually ordered and no Millwall ticket. Ordered some Skate tickets for a mate and got my Blackpool away ticket at the same time and the Blackpool ticket was nowhere to be seen. Ordered P'Boro and Boro tickets at the same time and got my old man to collect them to save any more balls ups from them.
Monk Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Any news or date when the Coventry tickets will be for sale?
adethorne Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Spoke to our ticket office, looks like they are trying to sell seats before they release more terrace. I spoke to p'boro ticket office and they confirmed we have whole terrace which has a capacity of over 3500 and they have more seats available should saints require them. What are our ticket office playing at???????????
mikee Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 They'll get more terrace tickets. They only had an initial 1000. I hope they don't wait to sell all of the seats until they order more terrace tickets. I want 4 tickets but not seats - otherwise I will have to just pay on the day I guess.

I've selected to pick tickets up though - at Reading game. Ditto, except i phoned them up. couldnt be bothered to call again for terraced, so just got seated. i wonder if I will still be able to get into the terraces with seated tickets though?

Worth a try. Most stewards on the turnstiles barely look at the tickets, worse they can do is say no and direct you to your proper entrance.
Jones91 Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Just been to sms, queued up for 15 mins to then be told peterborough tickets are in the post and will be ready to buy at 2pm. And they still charged me a quid to park
sotonjoe Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Ditto, except i phoned them up. couldnt be bothered to call again for terraced, so just got seated. i wonder if I will still be able to get into the terraces with seated tickets though? Stupid behaviour. Don't do this.
This Charming Man Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Stupid behaviour. Don't do this. Why? The true capacity of that terrace would've been cut by a few hundred odd to allow for people jibbing in, duplicates etc. So fear not, 10/20 odd people getting on there who shouldn't be on there isn't going to cause the next Hillsborough.
stevegrant Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Apparently there are now another 1000 terrace tickets on sale. No ****ing idea why they don't just put them all on sale from the beginning really
Griffo Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 I hope someone brings a smoke bomb or flare for this.
Dr Who? Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Apparently there are now another 1000 terrace tickets on sale. No ****ing idea why they don't just put them all on sale from the beginning really I bought seat tickets as they told me this was all was left, and I did not want to miss out! Can I swap these now?
Dr Who? Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Our clubs ticket policy is nuts.... we will sell out this game, it COULD be the game that we go up!
This Charming Man Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 I bought seat tickets as they told me this was all was left, and I did not want to miss out! Can I swap these now? Ring up the ticket office and give them a bollocking for supplying you with false information. Ring the information line as that'll take you through to the stadium ticket office.
MadDogMatt Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Spoke to our ticket office, looks like they are trying to sell seats before they release more terrace. I spoke to p'boro ticket office and they confirmed we have whole terrace which has a capacity of over 3500 and they have more seats available should saints require them. What are our ticket office playing at??????????? This stacks up. West Ham had around 5,000 tickets for their recent midweek visit. A lot of clubs sell away tickets in blocks and the buying club has to commit to buying the block in totallity up front, I suspect this is why Saints are selling the first terrace and seat batches in the way they have. I agree Saints should have been more transparent about this. If I am right its also cheeky of Peterborough to sell in commited blocks as its really only a valid policy for clubs that could otherwise sell the tickets to home fans - and they are rarely if ever at capacity.
bender Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 I bought seat tickets as they told me this was all was left, and I did not want to miss out! Can I swap these now? I did exactly the same online but I selected to pick up at the ticket office (will do b4 Reading game). If they do get more terrace tickets it shouldnt be a problem swapping them if obviously they have yet to send them to me.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Just spoke to the Ticket office, because my son hasn't got his Reading ticket yet. They told me that they are behind due to the Pompey game and the Bank Holidays and that all outstanding tickets that anyone has ordered are going out today.

Despite the fact that it is highly unlikely to be a problem, you should still not do it.
bender Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Dont believe this !! When going to buy tickets via OS, terrace tickets are available and seats sold out !! The other way round !
Sour Mash Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Disagree. Despite the fact that it is highly unlikely to be a problem, you should still not do it. Why not?
John Boy Saint Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 When Nigel heaps loads of praise on the away fans for their support, I wonder if he realises the number of obstacles put in their way to even get a ticket in the first place. I also wonder if Nicola knows the feeling of incompetence being exuded by one of the most important departments in the club when it comes to dealing with the most important people; the customer
Thedelldays Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 When Nigel heaps loads of praise on the away fans for their support, I wonder if he realises the number of obstacles put in their way to even get a ticket in the first place. I also wonder if Nicola knows the feeling of incompetence being exuded by one of the most important departments in the club when it comes to dealing with the most important people; the customer to be fair, there are no obstacles... as someone is not a ST holder never really had a problem getting tickets...the only time was when they never really advertised I could collect on the day against pompey
kpturner Posted 10 April, 2012 Author Posted 10 April, 2012 Why not?Because if everyone had the same attitude there may well be a problem.
Mattio Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Anyone have any info on sales? I want to go but won't be able to confirm if I can until the weekend.
opthomps Posted 10 April, 2012 Posted 10 April, 2012 Because if everyone had the same attitude there may well be a problem. I was planning on asking the stewards to go in the terraces. I would guess they are in a better position than anyone on here to say what is and what isn't fine.
Torres Posted 11 April, 2012 Posted 11 April, 2012 The only game that has been all ticket London Rd this season was West Ham - all other games it's been possible to pay on the gate for away fans. I don't think Posh bother with the allocating tickets in blocks on sale/return malarky as I don't think the away allocations are variable. Everyone gets the few hundred seats in the main stand and the whole Moyes End. Given their own attendances are so low (relative to everyoe else in the league, expect maybe Pompey!) big away followings are important finanically.
Window Cleaner Posted 11 April, 2012 Posted 11 April, 2012 We've just been allocated 2000 more tickets on top of the 1700 odd that we had already. Must be expecting a run on sales then.

That's right, I am sure a walk up will be possible. I am going to this one as it is easy to get to from Norfolk.
