InvictaSaint Posted 7 April, 2012 Share Posted 7 April, 2012 ....in the last 10 seasons, the team which is top of the Championship going into the Easter weekend (i.e. before Good Friday) - Saints this season - has not failed to be promoted automatically. And the bookies have us as nailed on too. Am as gutted as the next fan about the ending to today's game, but I still believe. Onwards and upwards! Dr Who? Posted 7 April, 2012 Share Posted 7 April, 2012 We will win on Monday and Wet Ham will draw, and Reading will lose on Tuesday. We will be back to 6 points clear of 3rd and 3 points clear of 2nd. We will then win at home to reading. This will put us 6 clear of reading and 9 clear of west ham with 3 games left. West Ham will be at home to Brighton next Sat. It is ours to screw up!

modern matron Posted 8 April, 2012 Share Posted 8 April, 2012 just watched highlight.. they really were 2 outrageous goals, another day would have been 2-0 easy. win on Monday, onwards and upwards Agree with you that we were very unlucky with both goals and their keeper played a blinder too! Just a little worried that we thought we were promoted before we kicked off against Blackpool, and now our luck has changed and confidence has been dented, Still glad we're playing tomorrow. Onwards and upwards COYR!
Didcot Saint Posted 8 April, 2012 Share Posted 8 April, 2012 Invicta Saint, I hope this notable statistic continues. In the cold light of day, after my utter disbelief at yesterday's totally gutting experience, I actually feel quite confident! UTS

InvictaSaint Posted 8 April, 2012 Author Share Posted 8 April, 2012 Have added "automatically" after 'promoted' in original post. Sorry about that - rather crucial element!
sperm_john Posted 8 April, 2012 Share Posted 8 April, 2012 i wasnt at the game, therefore ive not experienced said dissapointment that everyone else seems to be experiencing, to me it looked like a good point in the end, avoided a banana skin game (they were never going to roll over and die) and we can put things right very quickly tomorrow instead of having to hang about for a week .. we will go up, it just might be second instead of first if we bottle it any more times
