Those that went on the pitch...

You continue to come across as one of the thickest posters on this forum, there's no way you're like this in real life is there?

This coming from one, who comes across as a skate. Can't say as I have ever seen you post anything in support of the club, and all you do is knock anyone who does. I bet you're a real bundle of laughs in real life....NOT! You talk Sh1te for effect, and that shows with the crap you posted on the takeover thread.

The pitch invaders must have been Skates in disguise. No right minded Saints fan would risk holding up the game and possible suspension to do that. The delay could have led to a goal. Simple Morons- we do not want you at St Mary's.

I can see why people on here would get the hump over the pitch "invaders" as it may have caused the ref to add time on and also see why some fans got a touch over excited at us scoring in the last minute, Vs scum, in such an important game.

However, any person that wants someone banned or arrested for it are the lowest of the low!!!

I truly pity those of you moaning ****s on this thread. Truly losing the plot at times like that at a football match are rare and what football is all about, IMO. There's no other sport that gets the juices flowing like that.

I'm not surprised by the pathetic comments on this thread - probably the same people who sat on their hands in silence for 20 minutes in the 2nd half yesterday. Shameful.

There should be compulsory profile details against posters so we can see what tossers they all are in real life.

cant keep track of who is normal on here although Sour Mash, Turkish, Griffo Colin somebody seem to understand football.

A poster who would name himself as a Matt Le Tissier seems a right anorak unless it is him? it's not is it?

I reckon they should make IQ tests compulsory to buy a ticket. Anyone with the brain capacity of a 5 year old like the guys who went on the pitch and the people defending them here would be well & truly screwed. Idiots.

So 4 minutes of added time were shown. The ref added time on top of this. Pompey scored on 93mins so the extra time had no effect.

Also the same amount of football was played whether they'd been on the pitch or not.

Made them look a bit stupid after the equaliser but you can't blame them for the goal...

If those lost points cost us automatic promotion I hope all of you defending these idiots have a good look at yourselves. It is always hard to drop points in 4 minutesof added time, even more so if it is your own moronic fans who caused the extra time in the firts place. Go nuts yes, but stay off the frikkin pitch!!!

How pathetic. What was the point.?

Total Neanderthal Morons.

I would actually go as far to say that you cost us the 3 points.

Delaying the start broke our momentum and also would have added on more stopidge time.

So pat your self on the back for helping out the skates.

Oh do shut up you complete numpty!

Fans spilled on the pitch, big deal! The players were the ones that didn't defend, they were the ones that didn't see out the 3 mins stoppage time, Aidkins was the one who didn't change things! Really p1sses me off, "in Nigel we trust" until it goes wrong, then blame the fans

FFS - I thought I'd missed a huge pitch invasion after the final whistle when I read this heading. Oh dear - some fans in The Chapel went onto the pitch to celebrate what could have been a winning goal against our bitterest of rivals. Whatever next? Let's arrest the lot of them for showing a bit of passion. Was it ok for the skate players to join their fans in celebrating their equaliser or was that a bit too over the top as well? Let's hope we don't score a late winner at Palace tomorrow - who knows what could happen!! How dull it must be to live in a world where you're always looking to be so easily offended and seeking to apportion blame!!

respect to the chapel

From the response of many on this thread, we appear, nay, are, to be supported by complete idiots. 'Who cares' they cry.

Well the Football League may well do, when they read a possible mention in the Referee's Report, (be he good, bad, or, as was the case, incompetent), - with a nice little five figure fine for failing to control their supporters, and causing damage to pitch furniture, i,e. a corner flag, - whether it was actually damaged, or not, it WAS removed from the corner quadrant.

I thinjk we'll be lucky to escape some form of reprimand.

This post seems to be an a disagreement between

A)the happy clappy fans who probably sit there with a blanket over their legs eating sandwiches and drinking flasks of tea and never sing a song all afternoon.

B) Those who had no voices left through singing their hearts out with pride, whilst not being afraid to show their emotions at scoring against our bitterest rivals in a match that could have pushed us nearer to the championship and automatic promotion.

In a mundane league game v Peterbrough i'd say yes its maybe a little OTT but v Pompey i'd say its nigh on understandable! We are all very different as this post shows. I personally may not have gone on the pitch and waved a corner flag about but i have cleared a few rows of red seats and ended up on my arse when we've scored against that lot!!!

Having reflected on it overnight I don't think it made a difference to the result and it's difficult to stop people celebrating sometimes. The stewards are actually employed to stop them going on the pitch. I did have an issue with the muppet who threw the corner flag back into our own supporters which could have caused a nasty injury so that's where the police follow up efforts should focus if anywhere. No problem really with others idiots.

Errmmm, he DID change things. He went more defensive by replacing Billy with Harding. So if you want to blame Adkins then do so by criticising that change and not by saying there wasn't one!

On of the culprits was sat opposite me across the isle, student looking type with a beard earley twentys not wearing any colours and im pretty sure three of the others were behind me, one of the female stewards spoke to him after and he left his seat then she made a note of his seat number. All Saints fans were ecstatic that we scored and the goal was eventually given but only six or seven done this utterly stupid thing which gave pompey enough time to equalize and cost us three points at this vital time for us. This is my first post on this forum lets all keep the faith.

Together as one!

Lol.

I think it's quite clear the majority of people think they are just idiotic cretins

It's funny how over 30.000 people managed to celebrate and go mad without running on the pitch yet the few that did are defended by more cretins.

You're right there mate!

I am amazed at how many of you boring ***ts get worked up over a few people going a bit OTT.

When I saw the people run on the pitch I thought it was a bit silly, but at least the Chapel End were getting excited for a change. By the time the match kicked off again I had forgotten about it, completely.

It's crazy that someone is sad enough to watch the dramatic end of the last few minutes of our biggest game in years, walk to their car, drive home, make a cup of tea. Then still be p!ssed off enough at a few fellow Saints fans to post a message on the internet to slag them off.

You need a really really empty life to do that IMO.

Those that went onto the pitch were ****s, particulary the one waving the corner flag about. If they get banned they only have themselves to blame. That said, it's hardly their fault we conceded, it's 4 minutes of playing time and we let it in during that time. Had it taken 10 mins to clear the pitch, there still would have been 4 minutes left. Trying to rewrite history and saying if xy & z would have happened we'd have won, is as pathetic as running onto the pitch.

It was just embarrassing. Yes you're entitled to get passionate and I was going absolutely mental, but I didn't feel the need to sprint down 10 rows of stairs, jump the barrier then pick up the corner flag and star waving it around like a complete tw*t.

Exactly. This. Peeople saying 'at least he showed passion, what have you ever done remind me of this:

at the 26 minute mark.

For those blaming us not winning on them is pathetic. The 4th Official had already put "4" into his board BEFORE we scored, so 4 minutes would have been added on whatever happened.

I'm not saying it was right for them to go on the pitch, because it wasn't, but the reason we didn't win was because we couldn't defend, simple as.

Also, to the older, grey-haired "man" who was sat in Block 17, row B, right on the end nearest to Block 18, who decided to grab a 13 year old (who had nothing to do with anyone running on the pitch) around the throat and call him a "F*cking C*nt" and who threw coffee over me when I tried to remove his hand from around the child's throat - you are a disgrace, I hope you're proud of yourself

we were going mental in the itchen north but didnt run on the pitch....

1. Norris scored in the 93.59 minute

2. Harding could have hoofed it instead of puting out for a throw

3. After Jose headed clear, no one closed norris down, SDR stood and watched, nither CM's had tracked back

4. we went down the other end and had a headed chance in the extra extra time added on because of the fans on the pitch

Did those fans cost us the game? no probably not but they gave everyone someone to blame

All these high almighty ****s I bet you went on the pitch end of last season, why? To celebrate? You can't blame the fact we conceeded a late goal on people showing their emotions. Do one you ****s!

These are not just Southampton fans, they are SWF Southampton fans. Seriously they do not represent your average fan.

I can't believe this has reached 3 pages. Talk about blowing a nothing incident out of all proportion.

For once I agree with you. This isn't going to result in anything other than everyone calling each other mongs or c*nts, so I might as well just nip it in the bud.
