Cascadia Saint Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Come on lads, lets not keep us waiting too long eh? COYS!
Frank's cousin Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 My stream about 2 mins behind you blokes....
Glasgow_Saint Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Good effort Guly Didnt realise he was playing
Saint Without a Halo Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Nah on the first rows sports vid stream Watching vid stream and listening to solent no time delay today for some reason
Window Cleaner Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Is Lambert playing out wide to avoid body contact? Looks a weeny bit limited sometimes
Guan 2.0 Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 C'mon boys, this is not helping my flu. And once more....
alpine_saint Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 What is it we are missing ? Hunger ? Desire ? Mental strength ? Physial strength and aggression ? Why cant we finsh this promotion campaign off?
brightspark Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 OK first half, looked nervy at the start, bit scrappy in front of goal but hopeful we can bundle another one of them in. Don't like blaming Guly but he was nowhere near his man when Maguire scored. We have to close down for the entire 90 minutes or we will be punished. Guly was... casual
Glasgow_Saint Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 We have created chances and look 100 x better than last week..... Get another goal and the sk8s will fold
Under Weststand Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 So HT 1-1 should be in front, but much better last 10-mins. Stay patient Saints ours for the taking 2nd half.
Window Cleaner Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 DM is admiring the way the dirty bastards are piling in? what do you expect, he's a dinosaur, to him that's football.
MOSaint Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Looks like Lambert has been brought back too soon IMO.
NY Saint Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Bloody hell we look nervous. The goal helped settle things down before the wonder strike from McGuire. The blue few are pressuring every pass, and with any luck their fitness won't last beyond the 70 minute giving us time to hopefully ice a cake.

scotty Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Not sure if I can take another 45 minutes of this. I'm sweating already.
sussexsaint Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Was I watching a different last 15 minutes? We were piling on the pressure and had so many good crosses and chances I lost count
niceandfriendly Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 DM just said he's impressed with how Pompey have played because they have "limited resources". Does he have no idea whatsoever about their situation?? Limited resources? **** me.

They wont need fitness in the last 20 - adrenalin alone will get them through in a game like this. If we go into the last 15 - 10 minutes all square, I think it will actually favour them.
Viking Warrior Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 I have got us down for a 3-1 win in the prediction league. Come on saints put the skates to the sword
Saint Without a Halo Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 What is it we are missing ? Hunger ? Desire ? Mental strength ? Physial strength and aggression ? Why cant we finsh this promotion campaign off? We will 2nd half have faith

This get SDR on for the last 20/25 mins let him run at Allan & co & I see him getting a second yellow.
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Gotta ask questions about the marking for their goal. had time to call for the ball, do the wavy arm thing and receive it still without a Saints player in sight. Then he ambles to the edge of the area and hits one in the postage stamp with no Saints player putting in a challenge or closing to within 2 yards. Meanwhile, Guly, who I reckon is supposed to be covering that area, is gently jogging back about 4 yards away. ****ing terrible.
alpine_saint Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Looks like Lambert has been brought back too soon IMO. Well, a couple of us did suggest that he be kept for the Reading game, a game we now look like we will be lucky to avoid a butt-f**king in. We've lost our confidence again, somehow.
Micky Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 We simply dont play this sort of game well. Nope, we dont like it when teams get in our faces - we need that extra second or two to play our pretty passing game - but we're not going to get that here. Time to roll up the sleeves and go to work. Couldnt give a toss how we win - the score is not important - the 3 points are vital.
Lighthouse Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 I'm not one of the Guly bashers normally, but Christ alive he was nowhere near McGuire when he scored. A great strike yes, but he had all the time and space in the world. Terrible tracking back. I'll stay possitive though, we looked the better side and I'd be surprised if the Skates can keep up that tempo for 90 minutes. I'm not saying it will be easier, but hopefully we can calm down, start passing and get them on the ropes. I'd bring on De Ridder for Guly, who has done very little in the first half. Maybe not straight away but after 60 minutes or so.
CanadaSaint Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 I don't know how P*mpey have survived the corners - other than sheer desperation and luck. We have so many people capable of scoring from them. Jos to add to his total in the second half.
suewhistle Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 That was a good shot to equalise but a bit too much room. It's all a bit rushed and tense and I think we're being dragged down to their level. guly and lallana both good chances and even Lambert's free kick was a decent chance, Hoiveld has been close with a couple more. I don't think some of their players are too worried if they get an injury which means they have to return to their loaning clubs whereas Saints are trying to avoid being crippled for the run-in. Shame about Morgan as I thought he'd calm us down a bit but Cork has been playing well. The combination of fizzy beer, shouting and hyper-ventilation is building up towards some classic burps later on!
sfc1976 Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 They've got some vile players. That Allan looks a right cvnt. Lambert looks like he's holding back a bit. We look really dangerous when Richardson gets in behind though.
Ohio Saint Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Was I watching a different last 15 minutes? We were piling on the pressure and had so many good crosses and chances I lost count You must be watching the same game as me.
Minsk Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Good grief..... I am happy that I chose to avoid this thread and just concentrate on watching the game. What a miserable load of doom and gloomers most of you are! We will win!! We will not concede another goal!!! COME ON YOU SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Window Cleaner Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Losing Morgan seems to have left us without any sort of composure .
Saint Without a Halo Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Thats twice he's cost us against the sk8s -complete waste of space imo Err think if anyone it was Kelvin more to blame here, getting beaten at his near post from a fine angle. Persevere with Guly as he is due to score 2nd half!

Brizzie Saints Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Glad its half time......i'm f*ckin rooted. COYR SDR on for Guly

Persevere with Guly as he is due to score 2nd half! thought it was pretty poor keeping myself but a bit of closing down might have helped.Cork or Hammond should have been there.

We've lost our confidence again, somehow. This is not a normal game it is the South Coast Derby nothing goes to plan in them however we will win this
student Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Looks to me like Lambert is back a week early, but then again he's always a danger and only takes him 1 second to change a game. Saints need to play the game and not the occasion, they should be able to wear pompy down and get a goal later on.
suewhistle Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 I think we will score one from a cross from Richardson. Thought this thread needed a bit of positivity...
Micky Posted 7 April, 2012 Posted 7 April, 2012 Looked a pretty decent strike to me - mind you we didnt actually get near them for the whole of the move that led to the goal, lots of faults really.
