Cometh the day, cometh the team,

Come on you red and white machine,

Today is the day to prove there is only one team in Hampshire,

Do it with steal, do it fair, do it with style, do it with flair,

But above all else....win...

Come on you reds!!!!!!!!

I've never picked up spelling (sorry) but it is 'steel' not 'steal' - quite an important difference - lets leave the 'stealing' to the pikey skates lol.....COYR

Time to get some of the 7 goal swing in goal difference over the week, gain 3 points, open up that 6 point gap again to 3rd place, and put us back on top the table for the Palace game. On Monday we will be in the strong position of being able to open up a 9 point gap on West Ham before they play their game at home to Brum. This will put huge pressure on them and Reading for their trip to Brighton. Then beat reading and could all bar the shouting be up.

Sound so so easy!

All well and good spouting all this mumbo jumbo but we are not going to win today. Hashtag psychic.

This could come back to haunt you big time. I really do think that this will be a little bit like the Leeds game (home) straight at them from the kick off.

We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.

We shall fight by taking one game at a time, we shall fight by controlling the controllables, we shall fight by drawing a blue line under and taking 4 positives a 1 negative from the Blackpool game, we shall fight by having a superb squad of players who work hard in training and for each other, we shall never surrender but if we do we'll learn the lessons and review the video tomorrow. Adkins circa 2012.

KING HENRY V:

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;

Or close the wall up with our English dead.

In peace there's nothing so becomes a man

As modest stillness and humility:

But when the blast of war blows in our ears,

Then imitate the action of the tiger;

Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,

Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;

Then lend the eye a terrible aspect;

Let pry through the portage of the head

Like the brass cannon; let the brow o'erwhelm it

As fearfully as doth a galled rock

O'erhang and jutty his confounded base,

Swill'd with the wild and wasteful ocean.

Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,

Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit

To his full height. On, on, you noblest English.

Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof!

Fathers that, like so many Alexanders,

Have in these parts from morn till even fought

And sheathed their swords for lack of argument:

Dishonour not your mothers; now attest

That those whom you call'd fathers did beget you.

Be copy now to men of grosser blood,

And teach them how to war. And you, good yeoman,

Whose limbs were made in England, show us here

The mettle of your pasture; let us swear

That you are worth your breeding; which I doubt not;

For there is none of you so mean and base,

That hath not noble lustre in your eyes.

I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,

Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:

Follow your spirit, and upon this charge

Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

Hell YES!!!

Cry 'God for Nigel, Southampton and Saint Markus!

To paraphrase the great man

Never in the face of football conflicts has so much money been owed to so many by 'the few'.

We must stand in our ground and win,

We will out sing them in the stands and in the streets

We will outplay them on the pitch

We shall sha la la with growing strength and confidence to the air

We will defend our goal, whatever the cost may be

We will not fight them on the streets and at the quay, (for why does a fish need to take a ferry?), or stoop to their level in any way.

We shall never surrender again like we did that time.
