How pathetically bad was the Barnsley keeper for their 3rd?!

And the second. And he's on loan. I would ring his club and demand my money back! I hear he plans to throw himself in front of a bus at half time, but even that will probably go under him... ;)

right...barnsley are appalling...

we could be 5 points clear of reading before they play again

west ham have a tricky home fixture on monday....

eeerm.....come on barnsley ffs

I'm sure he was the keeper when we got promoted at argyle..?

Yeah he was, on loan from spurs. He looks to have come from the Tommy Forecast school of goalkeeping. Tottenham half produce some duffs don't they?

So, am I the only one starting to get ever so slightly pessimistic vibes about tomorrow...? A bit of reverse psychology never hurt anyone I suppose....

Always the way when results don't go our away, it always deflates you slightly.

We could never effect the results though, it was always a case of hoping for miracles at the start of play.

Tomorrow will be immense by the way.

it is...we will win...pompey are poor...IMO they are worse than donny...donny have a few individual talents that on their day can give anyone a game...

pompey have a few loanees...a few kids who will buckle

The big thing is that they have a load of young loanies who probably couldn't give 2 hoots about the rivalry, they will go back to their parent clubs in a few weeks and will forget about Portsmouth. They will be like startled rabbits from the 1st minute tomorrow as they will not be able to match our intensity.

The players I'd have been half worried about would have been Lawrence, Husseklep, Henderson their Gk.....but oh, they've not got any of those anymore. Anything but a comfortable win tomorrow will be criminal!

with thorne out also...he was their best midfielder...they are obviously poor at the back...no doubt one or two will rise to the occasion but generally, not one of their starting 11 would make ours....we play to near what we can do and we will win....not too sure whether we will get the thrashing so many want...but could easily be...

the moment it goes to 2-0...SMS will be one big party

We have to be at it from the off and go for the jugular.

We don't just need to win tomorrow, we need to send a message.

Early goal to calm things down and the confidence will surge through - you are right, they are a poor side.

So Reading & West Ham win. If we beat the pikey's tomorrow - it's completely "as you were"... .... but with one game less to play.
This....exactly

I was hoping for a bit of slack to get handed over today. How wrong could I be, tomorrow looks even more massive now than it did 4 hours ago.

Could be a good thing. We definitely won't be complacent now! They were always goin to win these games, we have to too. They both have harder matches on Mon/Tues.

"Control the controllable".

25 actually - so long as it stays 0-4

ah ok, didn't think the table had updated. Not as bad as it could have been based on that Barnsley showing!

Good way of looking at it.

It's not a good way of looking at it, its the sensible non hysterical tart way of looking at it. Win tomorrow, which we will, West Ham will need 7 more points over 5 games to overtake us, it would take and incredible run from them and an incredibly bad one from us for that to happen.
