We should easily beat Pompey anyway, even if its Sharp and Guly up front. Its a full house FFS

He's right, selling out your tickets lets you start the game with a 2-0 lead in this league.

I forgot to factor that in, thanks for reminding me. No chance we'll lose now.

You just need to look at the Bristol City game to see how well it went last time we played a team in the relegation zone in front of a full house...

ahhhhh!..but will it be a new record attendance ?..... (bearing in mind the lost seats due to supporter segregation).

How about "the lost seats due to pompey not filling their allocation", plus the ones without coach tickets, of course....

I'm sure (like us) they learned from their previous experience, and have off-loaded some of their better players... but just how many players do they have on loan ?

....isn't there some sort of League regulations about how many ...?

I thought he had quite a good game against us at Nottarf, so am mildly pleased with this news. (Not that it should make any difference of course.)

BBC Solent Sport@solentsport #pompey midfielder George Thorne out for the season with an ankle injury. Tal Ben Haim a doubt for the #saints match with a calf injury

Equally encouraging in case you haven't seen it

Try to keep up Phil!

They have 78 players on loan but the Football League have given dispensation as Pompey have assured them they are all emergency goalkeepers.

Do Poopey still have to pay for him for the rest of the season? (If, indeed, they were paying anything anyway)
As he has gone back I doubt it very much. I expect they were not paying his wages anyway.

They beat Birmingham 4-1 recently and are jammy as feck, we need to be ice cold professional on Saturday.

Wasn't it 1-1, then a Brum player got sent off and they scored from the resultant free kick. I'd suggest it was one of those 'swung on one moment' games which don't happen all that often. I think both Saints vs Brighton fixtures this season have shown how badly tits up it can go if you lose a man away from home.

What right has Thorne to refer to us as Scummers is he from the area if not he should keep his nose out . I'm dry proud to be a Scummer

Oh I'd rather be a scummer than stink of fish

I'd rather be a Scummer than stink of fish

Rather be a Scummer

big loss to the skates, he was their best player against us. Check out the results after he went back to WBA, they struggled big time without him. Very good news.

TBH has been OK for them as well apparently, despite looking utter dog **** whenever I've seen him.

IIRC you're allowed 5 in a season (plus additional "youth loans"), but only 2 from any one club, and you can only put 4 in any one squad. From memory though so might have misremembered - they had Mattock and Thorne (twice) from West Brom, which was a bit sneaky because it was 3 loans but only 2 players.

Anyway, the loan window is closed, hence the two kids (Scapuzzi and Rekik) who they hadn't put on the bench until the loan window closed suddenly stepping up into the full squad now they have no other option - until that point those two players didn't count against their total squad and they could have played the "not enough players" card to get any transfer embargo waived.

FWIW when Thorne went off injured against Burnley and Scapuzzi came on in the 81st minute the score was 1-3, it finished 1-5...

I just assumed their best player was Tal Ben Haim, otherwise rewarding him with 50 billion a week seems a little daft.

If he's injured it'll be a bit of a shame, he's been bloody awful for them recently.
