Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod Posted 5 April, 2012 Share Posted 5 April, 2012 On Friday: Reading v Leeds (2.00pm) - Live on Sky Sports Barnsley v West Ham (5.15pm) - Live on BBC Saturday: Saints v Pompey (1.00pm) Another big weekend in the Championship, where a win over Pompey would put us on the brink of promotion with over 80 points. Friday could also be defining as Reading host Leeds, knowing a win would take them top, for a day at least, and West Ham know they have to win at Barnsley. I'll be glued to my TV watching both these games intently, obviously supporting the two yorkshire clubs. My predictions: Reading 2-2 Leeds Barnsley 1-2 West Ham Saints 3-0 Portsmouth What do you guys reckon?

Greedyfly Posted 5 April, 2012 Share Posted 5 April, 2012 I'd take a Reading draw now. WHU will beat Barnsley as they are just awful. Saints win regardless.

alpine_saint Posted 5 April, 2012 Share Posted 5 April, 2012 I'm going to go for all 3 winning too. But I reckon our game is going to be as tight as a nuns chuff, especially if Rickie doesnt play.

Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod Posted 5 April, 2012 Author Share Posted 5 April, 2012 Could it be good if he doesn't play? I think he'll play one of pompey or palace. If he doesn't make pompey, he'll probably play at palace, which is the tougher game. Would be amazing to beat pompey without him, then have him return for the next game.= The thing is, does anyone think we would win without him. He is so important for us. Window Cleaner Posted 5 April, 2012 Share Posted 5 April, 2012 Friday/Saturday Reading Draw Saints+ West Ham win Monday/Tuesday Saints Win West Ham and Reading lose. Points Table come next Tuesday evening Saints 84 Reading 77 West Ham 75 thus Saints one win from certain promotion and 1 win and 1 draw from absolute mathematical certainty promotion. Wishful thinking huh!

Under Weststand Posted 5 April, 2012 Share Posted 5 April, 2012 Reading will win against Leeds, I'm sure we can win over the skates Leaving West Hoof to beat Barnsley, pressure could well leave them struggling if we've both won! I still think all 3 to win leaving us just that little closer to promotion. West Hoof's margin for error decreases with every single point we gain. Lighthouse Posted 5 April, 2012 Share Posted 5 April, 2012 As a neutral I'd have said a pretty clear win for all 3 teams. As a fan though you always fear your team will f**k up. I think it was around this time last year Norwich had a local derby against Ipswich. They won 5-1 and got promoted.

So after Tuesday evening that will leave us 7 points clear of Reading, 8 points clear of West Hoof with 4 games to go. Setting up the promotion winning game against Reading.... and the title winning game against Posh.......
bender Posted 5 April, 2012 Share Posted 5 April, 2012 Fri: Reading and Wham both win. Sat: Saints win. Mon: Wham draw and Saints win at Palace (I know ST holder Palace fans who arent bothering even going). Tue: Reading lose at Brighton (given my location I might get a ticket) Saints 84 pts Reading 79 pts Wham 76 pts. Then we beat Reading the following Fri and Wham beat Brighton. Wham are back in top 2 and we are more or less champions with 3 to go. Saints 87pts Wham 79 pts Reading 79 pts
