gone back to Everton,do keep up.Not good enough for Spurs not good enough for us.Don't know if he gets much game time for Everton.

Only gone there on loan! Has played ner enough every game since returning and has got a couple of goals as well. Would be a brilliant signing IMO and would be ideal for the wide positions!

think it's a loan with an option to buy if Spurs buy Saha or something like that. One of these last day deals that needed to be a loan because it was too late to figure out all of the details.

Although the transfer/development policy seems focused on younger talent that can be coached/improved, I still believ an air of pragmatism will come into it if we are promoted - Consolidation will be the only target, anything else will be naive. Therefore getting a coupel of more experience older pros to help nurture and provide that experience whilst teh younger players develop is not a new approach, but perhaps a good one? We used to do it in the early 80s afterall ;-)

Not saying Upson should be one of those, most likely its his agent 'expressing interest' that a move to Saints might be good rather than the club... but the idea is not that unusual

We need to add some genuine pace out wide. I'd also look to recruit from the championship. Muxch smaller wages then Premiership rejects.

A new keeper to push Kelvin. Jack Butland or Craig Gordon from Sunderland perhaps.

Some pace at fullback wouldn't go amiss. Clyne looked comfortable if not outstanding. Liam Rosenior looked handy.

Some extra quality in midfield. Jordan Mutch from Brum is outstanding. Also like Mikele Leigertwood who was top notch against us.

Phillips and Wilfrid Zaha are the two best attacking players I've seen in the championship.

I'm all for sticking with the squad that got us up, but real quality signings can take you to another level as has been seen at Newcastle. Top notch strikers especially. I'd also like to see us return to the pass it out at all costs football we started off the season playing. We are miles from that now and we are no longer like Swansea. After their success that should encourage us to follow that path.

Agree that quality signings from the lower leagues in key areas is the way to go, especially when relegation is a possibility. We have pace out wide already but De Ridder hasn't been able to deliver crosses consistently so Zaha or Phillips would be a great addition. I think Fox and Richardson are both good Championship full backs but should we continue to rely on full backs providing assists then a signing or two there would be required. I'd add a centre back. Upson was never England quality so probably a realistic target for Saints, subject to wages.

We only need one centre back, whichever league we're in, and Upson is not the answer. Fonte and Hooiveld have my trust, even if we were to get to the Prem, but one decent addition is all that's needed.

First signing of the summer is dependant on what league we're in come August, but I reckon a central midfielder is a good shout.

Moses would be a brilliant signing. I doubt we'd get him (as if Wigan go down and he is available, bigger clubs than us would come in for him) but he's shown some real promise in the prem this year IMO. Pace, strength and good dribbling ability. Would be a decent side with him on the right wing and Adam on the left.
