Anyone know any info re Police and Pub`s ? Last week V Donny the two guy`s on the door at the Albert said the Police will prob not allow opening 2hrs before or after the game, Went to the Giddy Bridge today and asked but none of the staff had any idea what the situation was. Cheers in advance :)

Can't see pubs doing anything different other than opening a bit earlier. There's a bubble remember? Would certainly expect Wetherspoons doing business as usual.

Spoons definitely will - they open at 7am for breakfast anyway don't they? Certainly the Winchester one does.

Definitely 7am in the week. Not sure about weekends. Certainly by 9am from past experience.

Its nearer the day now . Has anyone got any definitive information ?

the giddy said they are opening as normal, so would imagine the other wetherspoons are as well, from 7am, but no beer until 9am

who knows on the other pubs, but they haven't been told to close so expect business as usual

All the Spoons from 9, most others from 10. If you want to know a particular pub, just give them a call.

Maple Leaff open from mid-day apparently; that's a bit late, so the Red Lion looks a more likely bet.
Which Red Lion? The one at Bedford Place is run by a skate.

No offense but just because a word ends in an 's'' date=' doesn't mean it needs an apostrophe! They are used for missing letters (contractions) and to show possession![/quote']

There is no 's' in offence. Unless you are in America.

Does anyone know if Belividere rd is open to walk down should you be coming from the Waterfront to SMS? Said on the map on the Echo website it was part of the "safe zone" Would I have to walk back to the Prince of Wales and round to the footbridge?
