Watched the game on telly yesterday and wanted to praise our support up there.

Really good noise, only heard their support a couple of times when they scored and the '3-0 and you still can't sing' emphasised how cr*p their support was compared with you all!

Credit to you that went up there - loud and proud with a good variety - bring on the skates!

Yep, have to agree. Our support sounded great even at 3-0 down.

I thought the home fans wern't too bad up there. Certainly better then some away games i've been to.

But yes, i was utterly hoarse this morning after the second half singing. It must have been at least 15 minutes non-stop of 'oh when the Saints,' and the 'Top of the League, we're having a laugh' in response to the home end attempting to taunt us with the same chant was perversly satisfying! All credit to everyone else who went, absolutely brilliant for a televised game such a long way away.

Hope the trip back to the south coast was smooth for everyone.

Well done chaps! Did have a concern, that it was a 'minute of applause' following a tragedy (other than getting stuffed 3-0). I would have been there if I were still living in sunny Lancashire, rather than Oz! I was always impressed by the genuine travelling support whenever I went to Leeds, Burnley, WBA etc , let alone northeast clubs which I couldn't stomach despite a 200 mile head start. Good work.

I know crowd noise on TV can be misleading due to positioning of microphones, etc. but yesterday I tuned in around 65 minutes in, and the rest of the match was non-stop Saints songs. Now that is pretty damn good, and we were three nil down.

I laughed at the end when Jake Humphrey mentioned how "the home fans know how to make an atmosphere" to cheering at the final whistle. It could only have been sarcasm except he sounded frighteningly sincere.

Microphone placement most probably played a part but only regarding the home fans - when the final whistle blew their sound was extremely subdued which made no sense considering they had just tonked the league leaders. That doesn't change the fact that Saints away following were excellent and really made themselves heard - especially in the 2nd half when things got ugly.

Massive respect to those who went and defended Saints' honour!
