Blackpool V Saints - Second Half Thread

It's the manner of the defeat that's so galling. Lazy passes, no vision, no pace, wrong subs, wrong tactics, same old crap performance on TV

don't worry with this TV display we'll lull the final six opponents into a false sense of security. We'll still get promoted.

In perspective - we knew we wouldn't win every game and yes we've been beaten today, but still a long way to go. It makes the Reading game all the more important, but we are still top, still the team to chase and today's game will hopefully ignite the rest of the season on to becoming champions.

Still the best team in the league, still the very best team in the south... COYR

Absolutely fecking rubbish. No-one was good but Sharp was a disgrace, did nothing and offside so many times (even if at least one was completely wrong). I don't like having a pop at individuals, but he doesn't even look League 2 standard. Once he missed the pen, we may as well have taken him off, maybe too used tolosing at Donny, head down, don't like that attitude. We need to hope that Lambert and Lee are available next week, or at least Lambert and Connors.

Let's hope this gives the kick we need to push on to the end without another loss.

We will go up.

Atrocious. The only positive today is that WHam didnt close the gap.

The title was lost today. Auto promotion hangs in the balance.

And next up.....

you were right last season about our play off hopes being hanging by a thread so you're probably going to be right again.

Unfortunately I have to agree with all of this.

There wasn't a single good performance out there. Sharp looked awful and no worth the money we paid for him, the defence were all over the shop, the midfield were no where to be seen when it mattered and the width wasn't there - Lallana was awful.

Chappers will probably not play again this season after that first half, he didn't look like a footballer. De Ridder came on and again, made no impact at all.

Worst display of the season by a mile, clueless in so many positions.

Luckily we'll still probably go up because we've done so well bar thsi result - but we need to forget this quickly, because if we play like that regularly we will finish 3rd - but I still think we'll be fine.

Personally I think he is struggling to come to terms with playing understudy.

Yes, but his first touch is awful, he didn't turn or lay off, he didn't find the line or offer an outlet. Poor game from Sharp. Like him and hope he'll display more with his game, just see RL as crucial to promotion as he has no back up, except for chung.

We lost the title even though we are in top spot. Wow... Perhaps we are going to be the first team to come top and not be champions....

I am glad that Adkins does not lose hs nerve the way the posters on here do...

Oh please get a little perspective, we've had a bad day we were never going to win all our games. If we'd scored from the pen or Gully had scored then it may well have been a different result. It didn't happen today. Do you seriously think that West ham will not slip up again this season. We have the League & promotion in our hands. Its ours to lose.

Credit to Holloway. He set up his team to counter us and he had the players to do that.

They played well and stopped us playing.

yes it could have been different if Sharp had not done a rabbit in headlights impression. NONE of us expected to win every game and the Reading result did us a huge favour
