When then South African government started to use its legal system to protect its tourist industry?

Sorry, flippant answer Bridgey, but I found the program very interesting.

I'm still not sure where I stand on his guilt or innocence mind.

Was a very interesting watch indeed. One bit of

Evidence would have me convinced he was behind it, next minute I was convinced he was innocent. If that were to go through our justice system, he'd be off the hook. Whilst yes there may be some damning evidence against him, there is also alot of inconsistencies that would have him off like a shot (excuse the pun).

If he wanted to be tried under the English legal system, he should have bumped her off in Margate (allegedly, of course).

I couldn't watch the programme, obviously, but I guess the point was made that there are no jury trials over here. Judges only. Probably a throw back to the old apartheid days when there weren't enough white people in the country to fill the benches. But there is a pretty robust appeal process, and you don't seem to get many miscarriages nowadays.

I think there was not enough evidence to suggest he definately did it.

If you were to ask me, given on only what i saw last night, whether i would find him giulty or not guilty, it would have to be

Not Guilty.

I frankl;y do not blame him in not wanting to go back there, if he is not guilty, and you see evryone there trying to conspire to stitch you up, why would you go back?
