Dr Who? Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 Any one got any idea of when the tickets go on sale for this one, and how many tickets we will get? Just up the road for me, so will be off to this one, IF I can get a ticket!
This Charming Man Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 We'll get enough tickets for everyone going to have 2 each. Expect around 4/5k tickets.
Doctoroncall Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 Next Monday. According to TO yesterday. That's certainly better info than I was given last week, which was don't know, check the website... You must have a persuasive way with you!
fanimal Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 West Ham took 5K last night so we should get as many. That is one third of their capacity!
SaintBobby Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 We'll get enough tickets for everyone going to have 2 each. Expect around 4/5k tickets. You serious? What's capacity at London Road? I'm intending to go to Posh and Boro away if I can - but assumed getting into Peterborough could be a big ask even for a STH (I only have 3 away games to my name this season)
SaintBobby Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 West Ham took 5K last night so we should get as many. That is one third of their capacity! Ah. Thanks. You answered my question a second or two before I posted it!
This Charming Man Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 Ah. Thanks. You answered my question a second or two before I posted it! They have a large terrace which holds around 4,500 and then you get around 500 seats along the side.
Sour Mash Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 Half day already booked for this, then off Friday morning for the Boro game. Could be a half-decent week. 4.5k+ on a cracking old school terrace, what more do you want.
Dog Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 Will you be able to pay on the gate, as I'm off to Holland saturday morning for a week.
JRM Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 They have a large terrace which holds around 4,500 and then you get around 500 seats along the side. according to west ham official website mate they had 3500 terrace and 1500 seats, so would expect us to have the same, maybe they have to limit the numbers on the terrace due to safety, will be magic being on there for a game like this if we sell out, can't quite see it myself with Palace the week before already 6000 going and the potential for huge numbers to go to Middlesbrough the saturday after.
JRM Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 You serious? What's capacity at London Road? I'm intending to go to Posh and Boro away if I can - but assumed getting into Peterborough could be a big ask even for a STH (I only have 3 away games to my name this season) we'll have at least 5k tickets you'll get one no problem, more likely be able to pay on the day as can't see us taking that many midweek.

I can see us taking 5k if there's a chance that a win will secure auto-promotion or secure the title....and that does seem quite possible.
Appy Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 If there is a chance that we can go up we will sell out for sure.
Sour Mash Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 We won't sell out 5k midweek at Posh. A lot of people already doing Palace and then maybe a long trip to Boro. If you think about it, only 700 made it to Hull.

Plus Hull wasn't a "win and we're up" game (although was a massive win, of course) Of course it's easier to get to than Hull, why are you asking me that? I could be wrong, but we didn't sell out at Derby in the paly off game?
SaintBobby Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 Of course it's easier to get to than Hull, why are you asking me that? I could be wrong, but we didn't sell out at Derby in the paly off game? I'm suggesting Posh away is going to sell more than Hull away. Partly because the game might be decisive, partly because of geography. It seems we could have sold many, many more for Palace, so I don't think 5K is impossible at all.

This Charming Man Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 Of course it's easier to get to than Hull, why are you asking me that? I could be wrong, but we didn't sell out at Derby in the paly off game? We only JUST sold it out IIRC, literally the day before or so. Our fans like nice easy games, hence why we've sold 5,800 tickets easily for Palace. Then there are games that involve a little bit more than simply getting a train to London, that's where we don't fare so well (though we've gotten better this season!) and is why we will not sell 5,000 tickets for Posh.

Just pretty unlikely. HTH.

Sour Mash Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 Pretty sure we did sell out for Derby. Think you're right to be fair. With Palace/Boro/Posh games within less than 2 weeks of each other, something will have to give.
View From The Top Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 Put simply, if it's the game that means promotion, we will sell out, end of.
JRM Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 I'd say it's pretty likely IF a win would be decisive in clinching promotion. but chances are we won't know that until after the Reading game the Friday before, so we'll either have a lot of people buying tickets on the off chance, or a rush for tickets over the weekend

Although it's not really too different to selling play-off tickets.
Crazy Diamond Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 Friend of mine is a Posh fan, says it's the penultimate game on the old terraces, expect 4k-5k as mentioned in an earlier post.
gjphilsaint Posted 28 March, 2012 Posted 28 March, 2012 I intend to get 2 so hoping they are on sale on Monday! Friend who lives in Pbro is sure they will be a pay on the day option.
