red&white56 Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 As a minimum: Man U, Man City, Arsenal and Spuds But not being a ST holder I'm not confident there'll be any tickets on general sale for the London games.
Michelle Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Arsenal, Swansea, Wigan (if they stay up). They're the only three definites, done the rest before, so will pick and choose depending on dates.
stevegrant Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Wigan, Wigan and, er, Wigan. That's the only one in the top flight I've not been to before.
Saint Garrett Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Want to do Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, WHU (if they also go up), Newcastle, Liverpool, Fulham IF we go up...Obviously it will depend a lot on dates and funds though.
Nexstar Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Have currently done 39/92 and none of them are current Prem grounds. Won't have a season ticket so tickets may be difficult to come by, but with expected funds i'll look at: Man United / Liverpool Spurs Villa Chelsea
Saint Garrett Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 I've worked out I've been to 42, If anyone wants the spreadsheet which works it out, email me....cj_garrett@hotmail.com and i'll forward you it.
ladysaint Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Wigan for me too only one I haven't been to been to Emirates but only with PSV Eindhoven so need to do that with Saints too.
saints_is_the_south Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Bored as I was yesterday, I worked out the combined train + match ticket price for all of the current Premier League away games. Average came to about £86. Add beer + food money and your looking at about £150-£200. The most expensive away match ticket is Chelsea (based on us being a category B game), at a staggering 50 notes for the upper tier, or 47 for the lower tier. Expensive stuff this Premiership malark, me and the lads have decided to set up an away day saving fund for the summer to use next season.
View From The Top Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 If we go up and if Wigan stay up then Wigan. Add to that The Emirates and that's me sorted. Saying that my nipper and I will do all the NW & Midland clubs and the NE clubs if they are weekends. Apart from Arsenal totally uninterested in the London clubs.

Was going to have a look through. £47-50 at Chelsea for the lowest Cat game? F**k that.

Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Emirates is top priority to me. Chelsea can go **** themselves if they think I'm paying that.
Sour Mash Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 No but you can find them on http://www.footballgroundguide.com Can't you just list them out for us?
Sour Mash Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 According to that guide (never quite sure how reliable it is) £35 for a lower Cat game at the Emirates. Can just about live with that.
saints_is_the_south Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Can't you just list them out for us? I did have them listed on a spreadsheet, but I am unsure on where I have saved said spreadsheet! Once I have located it I will post them, but you'll have to wait til tomorrow now because this is my last post of the day
Sour Mash Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Reading through the various prices at different grounds, you've *almost* got to feel sorry for the supporters of the bigger clubs, they get ripped everywhere they go, week in, week out.
stkev7 Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 The ones I would avoid due to the fact they'll either be too expensive or / and just full of JCL ***** with megastore bags from those clubs in the away end would be: Manchester United Liverpool Manchester City Chelsea Arsenal and Spurs just miss out on that list as they're easy to get to and I've always enjoyed my away days there. It was Highbury for Arsenal in fairness.
westmidlandsaint Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 As I live in the west midlands Aston Villa, West Brom unfortunately looks like we may swap places with wolves. Also like to do Spurs before they move grounds, good friend is a norwich fan so looks like bak to Carrow Road

dune Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Norwich is always a good away day, plus i'll probably do wigan, Blackburn, Bolton etc as there's no hassle with tickets - just turn up and pay. Will also do Man Utd away (as a group I know pool their ST's and Saints is one of the least appealing games for them).

Assuming they all stay up, can I risk the chance that I'll be sitting next to you 3 times in a season ?
dune Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Assuming they all stay up, can I risk the chance that I'll be sitting next to you 3 times in a season ? I thought you sold hot dogs at bloomfield road on matchdays?

MINIBARCELONASAINT Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 West Brom, Aston Villa and Birmingham if they go up. I'll be at the University of Birmingham.
Junction 9 Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Just the Emirates really. I'd imagine the away allocation is pretty good there?
Huffton Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Liverpool, Everton, Man U, Newcastle and Arsenal hopefully. IF we go up...
AndyNorthernSaints Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Wish the club could have a system in place that meant anyone who has not been to an away game since relegation from the Premier league and to the likes of Colchester, Rochdale, Hartlepool, Carlisle, Bristol Rovers etc would not be able to now get tickets for the likes of Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal etc. I know other clubs have reward systems for those who travel to Europe and UK Away games.
Dr Who? Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 I have not been to Swansea, arsenal and Stoke. Think we will miss out on Wigan again. They came up the year we went down. Also want to go to the cottage as it has a great feel to it, and anything that tickles my fancy!
ericb Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 I'll do all the london ones as i live here, will give Villa a miss as i've done a ****load and hate it as an away day. Fancy Norwich as i've never been & if i can afford it a couple of the northern ones at least (probably liverpool since i've not done Anfield). Would love to do Newcastle if i can afford it since it's a ****ing brilliant night out, but would have to do it for the weekend.

Add more points for weather conditions. Hartlepool 2009 on a wet tuesday night would score lots and lots of points, whereas Yeovil 2010 on a hot spring saturday afternoon wouldn't score quite so many points

Would love to see that even if i probably would miss out on a few as i didn't do many in league one, but imagine the *****ing from the part timers on here if that did happen
yorkie Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 I won't be doing London games. Wigan sounds a good bet and I expect Sunderland to be a Tuesday night! Done all the other grounds and will be watching the £s next year.

latter day saint Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Arsenal,Spurs,Norwich,Citeh & Swansea i would be happy with if finances allow.
Golden Balls Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Liverpool & Everton. That's all I really want to do. I'll probably slip a few London games in there
Barry the Badger Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Bored as I was yesterday, I worked out the combined train + match ticket price for all of the current Premier League away games. dickyhale Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Wigan, Wigan and, er, Wigan. That's the only one in the top flight I've not been to before. Same hope they stay up, also Swansea and Arsenal
Saintandy666 Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 I have been to nearly all home games since St. Mary's opened. Yet, I have never been to an away game. I must go soon.
Saint Lindford Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Everton, Blackburn and Wigan(if they stay up) as I have never been there and Stoke and Arsenal for new grounds. Will do Foolham as easy to get to, def not Chelski as it is a rip off. The will pick and choose depending on timings at weekends etc.
