He still thinks he's a Premier League manager and he, the fans and the board underestimated the Championship. These days to stay in the Premier League you've got to be a very good side and you can't rely on a few teams being crap - you then need to be just as strong to get out of this league.

Exactly, Cole was in the England squad a couple of years ago. Plus Maynard, Vaz Te, Baldock and Carew were all signed by him. If they aren't up to scratch then it's his fault.

He's thrown fortunes at a huge bunch of players, that he seems incapable of molding into a cohesive team. He knows this week could put paid to automatic promotion hopes. He did sound a little desperate & depressed to me. But then again he is always depressing to listen to! His sides are usually depressing to watch as well.
