This Charming Man Posted 26 March, 2012 Share Posted 26 March, 2012 That'll go down well with Brighton... But Sharp told BBC Radio Solent: "We want to win the league. We won it last year and hopefully we can do it again."

Jack Posted 26 March, 2012 Share Posted 26 March, 2012 He's actually more clever than you're giving him credit for. He noticed that Brighton's fan's hate for us is decreasing, and they've even stopped singing songs about us, so he thought he'd Stoke the fire a bit. He's a cheeky chap. polegategavin Posted 26 March, 2012 Share Posted 26 March, 2012 That'll go down well with Brighton... But Sharp told BBC Radio Solent: "We want to win the league. We won it last year and hopefully we can do it again." On the Saints website this morning it quotes him saying "we DIDN'T win the league last year" and then he goes on to say "we want to go one better this year and win the league" It's amazing how different media outlets get different versions of the same interview. In the actual interview on Saints player he said we won the league, the OS have done a bit of creative editing there.

doddisalegend Posted 26 March, 2012 Share Posted 26 March, 2012 Gus Poyet Saturday the 23rd april 2011 “When you look back in ten years’ time, who won the championship this year? It was Brighton, playing football and passing the ball, not kicking the ball and putting it in the box. “That’s fact, we cannot change that.” Billy Sharp 24th March 2012 "We want to win the league. We won it last year and hopefully we can do it again." So not quite 10 years more like 11 months

Actually he did say Win the league as the BBC transcribed his interview with solent after the game to which he did say win the league. I though this was funny especially as you can hear in adam blackmoores voice he wanted to correct him but didn't have the heart.
