Probably one of the biggest mistake the board made at SFC was the failure to re-appoint Hoddle. Even if you disagree about this the appointment of Sturrock was baffling in the extreme. I could see Hoddle taking England all the way to the final.
Miltonaggro Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Sturrock and Hoddle dream team at the helm. It would be like On the Buses...
Saint Without a Halo Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 This is the man whose only real manegerial success came at Swindon and even then it was probably down to Gorman!
Dalek2003 Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 Not a bad record for Saints and England if I recall.
ART Posted 26 March, 2012 Posted 26 March, 2012 On the night Capello stood down, I heard Talksport talking with Hoddle and expressing their belief Glenn would be an excellent choice to take charge for the Euros. I posted on here and the usual know it alls said it wasn't possible I'd heard what I heard. I'd even go to say now few are better experienced and capable than Glenn.

It is interesting to note that on this site alone the issue of Hoddle is still an ever running topic. The debate about 2004 still runs on, far more than any of the other managerial appontments. There is still much to be revealed in this story.

Yeah, but you're the only person who's still going on about it!
