LGTL Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Suspect THEVMAN was alluding to just lambert! Quite big news in itself I suspect.
Genk Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Solent tweet saying Lambert misses out through Groin injury
Window Cleaner Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Suspect THEVMAN was alluding to just lambert! Quite big news in itself I suspect. Although Butterfield continuing is a bit of a surprise, well to me anyway. Bench doesn't look great tbh,no Chung,no Puncheon no real go faster jab just 5 sticking plasters.
shurlock Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Kevin Phillips misses out for them due to injury. Gilks, Eardley, Evatt, Baptiste, Harris, Southern, Martinez, Dobbie, Ince, M Phillips, Taylor-Fletcher
S-Clarke Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 wow, what a big plus for us. Both top scorers out.
beatlesaint Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Is puncheon injured? Would have liked to see him against his old club. He has been crap apart from the first couple of games back. I wouldnt hold out much hope for Puncheon doing much for us for the rest of the season.
S-Clarke Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Is puncheon injured? Would have liked to see him against his old club. He was horrific against Leeds. He's not really had the impact since he's been back.
bpsaint Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 What a boost it must be to hear your opponent will be without their top scorer and talisman FFS. Hopefully we'll continue to crack on as Reading have without Roberts.

Hopefully we'll continue to crack on as Reading have without Roberts. Blackpool are without their top scorer and arguably this seasons talisman as well, but everyone seems focussed on Lambert instead.
Window Cleaner Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Wonder why no Tadanari Lee? Probably more serious than NA lets on, wasn't anywhere to be seen in any of the build-up videos last week. If Chung was fit he'd be on the bench instead of Barney.
up and away Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Does not seem a bad side at all. If Butterfield is up to it defensively than it should not be too bad. Don't know where I shall hide if we get a penalty. It would not surprise me if Chung has done a metatarsal. Just the one out from Ricky and Chung is bad enough due to the volume of games coming up.
Under Weststand Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Not good news about Lambert, lets hope its not to serious. I can see it being 2-2 again,I'd take that now, but a win would be better.

Sharp does good penalties,so does Morgan.
WealdSaint Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Well Billy Sharp...........the stage is yours!

I'm now intrigued as to why they have done it.
JoeShmoe Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 This is why we bought Sharp, stage is set, is he up to it
Badger Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Lambert is out. Davis. Butterfield, Fonte©, Hooiveld, Fox. Chaplow, Schneiderlin, Cork, Lallana. Guly, Sharp Be alright, providing Chaplow recovers his early season form , and if Guly bothers to turn up and put in some effort. Surprised Lee is not on the bench.
THEVMAN Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 AL should be be playing the tip of a diamond today with Cork,Chappers and Morgan in midfield.

S-Clarke Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Here we go then, the stage is set for a huge one tonight. Bring it on.
Badger Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Well Billy Sharp...........the stage is yours! I remember Alan Ball's battle analogy and comment when MLT was injured " when the flag bearer goes down, it is up to someone else to pick up the flag and carry it..."* *perhaps best not to mention we then lost heavily at White Hart Lane But similarly, we once thought we were doomed without MLT in a relegation scrap, only for Beattie & Pahars to take the stage and prove themselves.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Not sure what news is worse??? Lambert out vs Guly in! Both equally bad imho
Window Cleaner Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 What is Lambert injured WITH? groin injury loosely, some say he's had an operation on it as recently as Thursday evening.Could be out for the season.
saints-cris Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Funny feeling right now, going into the game 6 points clear I wont be devastated at a loss. Almost feels like a freebie game. Saying that, if we win, 9 points clear with 6 left Id feel like we'd promoted.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Not sure what news is worse??? Lambert out vs Guly in! Both equally bad imho Trully pathetic comment...
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 We know the results fromtoday now...so what are your thoughts chaps
Window Cleaner Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Trully pathetic comment... Indeed Guly and Billy might make a very potent attack pairing, force and mobility but Lambert afficionados will never admit it.
jamesb Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Trully pathetic comment... Ditto that. Reading some comments on here its like we are about to play Brazil with a bunch of chimpanzees! Think we will do the job today. Sharp to score.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Explain... Slagging of players before they even kick a ball....pathetic

Saying that, if we win, 9 points clear with 6 left Id feel like we'd promoted. Would leave us needing 3 wins from 6 assuming WHU won all there games! Win today and we have done it imo
CWD Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 What is Lambert injured WITH? The lead piping I think.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Slagging of players before they even kick a ball....pathetic He has kicked the ball......many times! I dont rate him one bit sorry
madruss Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 He has kicked the ball......many times! I dont rate him one bit sorry Yeah, he's rubbish. It's the 18 goals and assists I object to. What's your major guly gripe?
CWD Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 3 points would give us a massive massive step to the PL now. 9 points clear of 3rd with 6 to play will surely be too much. Barnard to come off the bench and grab a late winner I reckon.
dubai_phil Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Lambert is fit, so is Lee. From Official Blackpool FC Twitter... ALWAYS_SFC Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 He has kicked the ball......many times! I dont rate him one bit sorry He may just prove to be a very important player if the Lambert rumours are true... Perhaps we should all back ALL of our players....just a radical idea..as Guly is the scapegoat...
dubai_phil Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Well with all the other results in today, a point up there is a huge step towards job one - Promotion
dubai_phil Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Jordan Sibley @jordansibley Rumours of Lambert having an op & out for rest of the season are wide of the mark. Trained Thursday but not quite right for today
dune Posted 31 March, 2012 Posted 31 March, 2012 Holloway has made wholesale changes. I'm happy with that.
