Watched that gargantuan Ollie Holloway preview on Blackpool Player. God that guy really goes on and on. Sob sob sob, we are so hard done by etc. On the flip side the moron is absolutely LOATHED to give Saints any credit. Apparently we should have stayed at the Dell! Retard.

To be fair, Holloway is an absolutely massive cockend.

Actually at no point does he say we should have stayed at the dell. Nor is he loathed to give us credit. He quite rightly points out we haven't done back to back promotions yet and until then should focus on doing it rather than being praised about it with 7 games to go. Infact, he even says something like "They have had a fantastic season but WHEN it happens, I'll give them credit."

He makes an excellent point. I am sure Nigel is ramming this down the players throats.

We're not there yet.

Yup, thanks Ollie. Any fears I might have had concerning the team's motivation have disappeared!

Getting nervous - not about the game' date=' about getting back - car is now only 3/4 full, but its 490 miles return and I will need to cane it down the M74 and M6 through them hills and lakes to make kick off on time - any fuel likely to be at the hideously inflated Service stations? Will Lambo get annother hatrick? Will Sharp cut through their defence/ (boom boom) - will let you know on the 'just back from the match on fumes' thread tomorrow night... 3pts - have a good feeling about this Saints to win 3-1[/quote']

Yet another fool.

See, you KNEW deep down that you should have bought a Toyota Prius just for such an eventuality.

FFS, there was ALWAYS a chance there could be a fuel shortage, there was always a chance we would be on a run and oh no, you went and bought a proper car.

Oh BTW - better plan. Tell everyone at home you ran short on gas, didn't want to risk it on the way back and stayed in Blackpool (with the lads) for an extra night

;)

I'm saving up for one of those De Loreans that you just have to tip the ass end of a tin of Coke and a couple of fag ends into and they take you to next week so that you can find out the results and bet on them.

I vividly remember that after relegation from The Prem at the end of 2004/05 season when there was a lot of talk about how quickly we could get back up, I posted on here "Welcome to the CCC years" (it was the Coca cola championship then). I expected those years to last for more than 4 but I didn't expect them to end by the club droppining even further into L1. But from the moment we began in L1, with the ML takeover, the whole picture changed and here we are going to Blackpool as another step to bring the Championship (and L1) years - all 7 of them - to an end. This is the same Blackpool, that as a Prem Club last season, brought a weakened side to the SMS in an FA cup tie to save their best players for teh relegation fight. A lot of good it did them as we knocked them out of the cup AND they were relegated. Since then, they've lost most of the team they had in The Prem while we have basically the same team but strengthened with the likes of Cork, Hooiveld, Sharp and Lee. Should we be expecting to win at Bloomfield Road? This is football and sometimes the unexpected can happen, but we should be expecting to win, simply because we have the better players and the better team.

i think we will lose this, west ham will beat reading and it will be all doom and gloom

:hunt:

Oh Goodie, I do hope so.

I find I miss those Good Old Days.

Haven't you all found it weird how the sun shines all the time (even in March) the birds are singing and you enjoy going to work?

We haven't had a good old melt down for about a year now, gotta be better than Finances and what Nick said threads.

C'mon you 'Pool. We need a good moan to clear the air!

going for 3-4 to saints, 3-3 in the last few mins BUT THEN the ball deflects off a blackpool player and we have a corner and davis comes up for it. fox goes up to take the corner but wastes some time doing his shoelaces, the ball is kicked in and DAVIS heads it in with saints taking all 3 points.... but of course I would be happy with a draw or a 0-1 away win :) COYR WIFM

We are going to get battered up there. Would gladly take a point. Don't get to see much of Saints on TV over here, but from the last few showings (Blackpool, Leicester and Leeds) I am not optimistic at all.

You don't need TV to know that we're unbeaten in 12, and out of the last 8 we've won 7, drawn 1, scored 18 and conceded 3. And kept 6 clean sheets. No, we will not get battered up there, and there is more than a bit of cause for optimism, FFS.

Does our recent form not count because you haven't been able to watch it?

Nah - been delighted, but seems odd we always seem to struggle in front of the cameras. Bit disappointing personally if I'm honest. Was back for Palace at Christmas and we looked good then, but didn't exactly take them to the cleaners, so personally I only have results to delight in, not witnessed performances. Anyway, up at 2am again for this one. COYR.

More people who think we're playing Brazil today... True our unbeaten run won't last for ever but it's easier to win when ur winning than win when you're not.

Headed down from Scotland yesterday, really looking forward to this one. Any updates on team news?

I hope the players have a different mentality to you lot! Otherwise they may as well not turn up!

Come on, you know what he means. Bar Leeds at home, our performances have been pretty poor against Reading, Pompey, Leeds away and Leicester. I'm not sure about 'TV curse', but it is an interesting coincidence.

Not for me no,they always seem to be out of position when we concede goals, both are pretty awful when speedy wingers take them on.

can't have it both ways...we don't play with wingers as such...we rely on the full backs to provide attacking width, look at their assists etc....by the nature of our formation, they are going to get caught out defensively

But just for today with Lua Lua and M Phillips I'd like to see them just take care of their defensive roles and leave the attacking play to Lallana,Lambert,Sharp an whoever starts at RM.We don't need to score 10 goals today.
