Blackpool build up

A weeks rest after a hard fought week in which we gained maximum points will do the team a world of good I reckon. We know Blackpool are good on the attack but then so are we, and if we have Frazier back by then I'm convinced we'll get a result, espically with Sharp chomping at the bit now.

Going for a knockout win eh? ;)

Anyone watching or know any where I could watch the game in Bognor on Saturday? I am at a charity pub crawl there with my Uni! An the SU will likely have the prem game on instead if there is one! Many thanks for any help!

Rag race? Ye should be good. I wouldn't expect there to be anything on...

Could not see us beating Hull but we did !

Blackpool away is the toughest game we have left IMO, and we will need to be disciplined and confident to come away with a win.

I reckon it will be a draw and I would be very happy with that !

Cant think of a better time to play them:

*they cant defend setpieces (it would help if they had a defensive coach) and to paraphrase one oppo's forum, physically we look like an east European basketball squad;

*they've got relegation form and Ollie has always been a momentum manager;

*tactics and team selections are being chopped and changed with unsettling frequency;

*Matt Phillips hasn't looked the same since doing his hamstring in february;

*they're having to squeeze more and more out of aging veterans (notwithstanding their class);

* they're under massive pressure not to bottle the playoffs;

* and from the reactions of their fans, you would think their chairman, oyston was old rupes himself.

Whilst IMO this is our toughest remaining game (really fancy a win vs Reading at St Marys) they aren't world beaters.

Hull was a tougher looking fixture and we got the 3 points so a similarly professional performance and we should be quite capable of getting at least a point.

Big difference is that Blackpool score for fun, but have a poor defence whereas Hull have good defence but can't score for toffee

There isn't a Premier League evening game, so if any pubs are showing a live game on Saturday evening, it will be the Saints match :)

If we're in anyway worried about them, how do you think they're looking at this - playing top of the table who are unbeaten in 12 and the leagues top scorers. If sharp and rickie are on their game I think we'll batter their defence. I'm going for a 4-2 to us (coz lets face it, our defence can be shaky at times).

Shaky, but has still only conceded 3 goals in the last 8 games, with 6 clean sheets.

We'll beat this lot by 2 goals. I'm going for the old favourite, Blackpool 1-3 Saints.

I have two adult tickets for the game but now can't make it now due to unexpected family commitments, rats. I am keen to pass these on rather than see them go to wasteso grab yourself a bargain.

If you are thinking of going but haven't got yours yet you can have mine for £35 for the pair and I will post them to you first class tomorrow, thats £13 off the £24 x2 I paid and thats before the £3 ticket tax!! We can sort out payment by PayPal.

They are block EB Row V seats 47 and 48, they say rstricted view on them but as has been said on here already they all seem to.

First come first served, email me MadDogMatt7@gmail.com and do me a favour and raw the lads to victory.

Cheers

For me, this game is massive. I know Millwall was the MK Dons moment, but if we win this game knowing that 3rd place falls 3 games behind us, whatever the result at Upton Park, I think we are just about there.

Looking at the other 6 games, I see too many potential banana skins to be comfortable.

I think Wham will beat Reading which will be a massive incentive for the Blackpool game. Were gonna put our heads down and get the result we'll be in a brilliant position.

Consider these results:

Sat: Wham beat Reading and we beat Blackpool.

Good Fri & Sat: Reading draw at home to Leeds and we beat Pompey.

That would put us 10 points clear of Reading.

We then win at Palace and then Brighton beat Reading the next day to send us into the Prem with 4 games to go. Party time at home to Reading.

We were "supposedly" disrespectful during the cup game when we beat them

Holloway had a problem with us long before we played them in that cup game,He had a rant about us when he was manager of Plymouth,can't remember why but it doesn't take a lot to upset him!

It was over our attempts to woo Norris away. By the way, it is normal to put a space between a comma and the start of the next word. The start of the next word should not be a capitalised (unless it is a name or "I" or ). HTH Edited by kpturner

Oh thats right. They were Prem and we were league one and when we beat them, we sang the most obvious chant "Premier league your having a laugh"

Wasn't our chant in response to their's of (something like) "top of the league, you're having a laugh" - which made his rate even stranger as they were "disrespectful" first (in true playground style!)

Am actually starting to look forward to this one tbh and when we come up against teams like Blackpool etc then I'd be more than happy with a Draw But knowing Saints

I can see us Win But we'l see! Also the game between West Ham n Reading I wouldn't mind a Draw in that as I'd rather go up with Reading than West Ham and watch

them in the Play Offs But we'l see!

Am going to go for 2-2 with goals from Lambert n Sharp/Lalanna for Saints n K Philips n Matt Philips for Blackpool But we'l see!

Hope to see some of you on here there!!!

COYR!!! :D
