Blackpool build up

Hope we pound them left, right and centre with crosses and setpieces. They've been a joke in the air of late.

By the same token, I hope Fox remembers he's a ******* LB not a CB and gets tighter to his man - Ince and Phillips will be threats down the wings. That means Lallana and whoever is at RM -probably Guly (another aerial threat) or Chaplow rather than SDR for this one- are disciplined and provide decent cover.

As they proved at SMS earlier in season Blackpool always carry a goal threat but defensively they are poor. Has makings for a really entertaining game and very difficult to predict what way it will go. Our fullbacks will have to be on top of their games to minimise threat of Blackpool wingers. Assuming Blackpool still play 4-3-3 formation, perhaps Nige will start with morgan, Cork and Hammond to allow us to get hold of possession in midfield. Lallana in free role behind Lambert and Sharp.

Blackpool 1 Saints 2

I think we'll put in a good performance and win. Ruthless attack vs a leaky defence. We're in top form and have defended well, apart from the Millwall game, and have always carried a threat going forward.

Last 8 form:

Saints - Won 7, drawn 1, lost 0, scored 18, conceded 3.

B'pool - Won 2, drawn 2, lost 4, scored 14, conceded 18.

I reckon Ollie is dreading it.

Will that work outside of the uk?

Outside the UK you really need a proxy, easy to set up, when I was touring Europe a lot I used to use one that cost me about £5 a month. I could see any UK or USA 'free to air' content I wanted from wherever I happened to be. I use to use local tv for the F! season for instance with 5 live commentary :)

Judging by some of the comments on here over the last few days you'd think we're playing Brazil on Saturday, not Blackpool.

Of course it will be a tricky encounter but we've every reason to go there full of confidence and expecting to take all 3 points. On current form how some people can say "can't see us winning this one" etc is beyond me.

Lookin forward to what should be a good open game with both sides strong in attack - hopefully we have enough class at the back to make sure we leave with the points.

They play quite an open game so if we are on song and playing well then we could tear them a new one...

On the other hand we looked quite average and lethargic in the first half against Donny so I hope we dont take our foot off the gas up at Blackpool or we could get caught out as they play good football at times...

------------------DAVIS------------------

FRAZER-----FONTE-----HOOIVELD-----FOX

STEVE----MORGAN-----CORK------LALLANA

----------LAMBERT-----SHARP-------------

Subs: Martin, Hammond, Chaplow, Guly, Lee

Keep Sharp in the first XI after his great performance on Saturday and give Lee a run-out late on. Start SDR at RM, they have no pace at the back and he will tear Crainey apart.

Can't see anything but a loss, and haven't felt like that for ages now. Thought we'd end the season well after a tough middle period, but there will still be the odd blip. Not a disaster of course. Draw would be great. I just think they're the sort of team we'll struggle against as they could easily go ahead. The intensity of it, their attacking threat.

I'm almost looking at it like a bonus game as it's our toughest fixture, IMO.

They are in dreadful form at the moment for a side chasing promotion...

Last 8 form:

Saints - Won 7, drawn 1, lost 0, scored 18, conceded 3.

Blackpool - Won 2, drawn 2, lost 4, scored 14, conceded 18.

I've got to say I think we will win this one and I can be negative about Saints at the best of times. The last time I had a bad feeling before a game was the Ipswich game and although we didn't win it we still got a point. I feel good about Saturday, reckon we will win with another hard fought 2 nil scoreline! :)

On that note. I'll just whack £100 on the away win for utterly free money. If I'm drunk; £200. 11/8 at skybet.

they have scored in every league game this year......so we will more than likely need at least 2.

will lambert be fit..?

have a funny feeling we will lose this one

2-1 to them

we can't win them all

Yep - also have funny feeling. Going upbeat with 1-1

Not hopeful, dunno why. Just law of averages I guess, we gotta lose sometime... and if its to happen this weekend rather than against that lot down the road

On the other hand I thought that last season and look at how we finished....

Win this one and I'll believe we can go up

Feeling fairly good about this one, maybe it's just the weather today. Blackpool are a decent enough side, but really are nothing to write home about overall. Lambert, Lallana and Sharp are scarier going forward than than the two Phillips and our defence if far, far superiror. As long as we turn up, play our way and don't get suckered into another Millwall performance, there's no reason we can't get another 3 points.

A weeks rest after a hard fought week in which we gained maximum points will do the team a world of good I reckon. We know Blackpool are good on the attack but then so are we, and if we have Frazier back by then I'm convinced we'll get a result, espically with Sharp chomping at the bit now.

I'm fully confident on this one. Saints to win by 2 clear goals. Watch out for the 'Boys in Blue' though as they were viscious last time we were up there.Threw an 8 year old to the ground for defending his dad! Ollie will make the usual excuses about the Ref and Lino's.

Why was an 8 year old defending his dad from the police though?

Why was an 8 year old defending his dad from the police though?

The nippers Dad was grabbed by a huge Rozzer for mouthing off at a Lino and the lad shouted 'Leave my Dad alone!' The Rozzer grabbed the nipper and threw him to the ground. All of us in the vicinity really gave him some stick but it made no difference. They were both marched off with their arms forced up their backs.

I just get the feeling Blackpool fans will get their chance to sing 'premier league your havin a laugh' or words to that effect.

But we will level it up 3-3.

Just hoping the hammers do not get 3 points tomorrow and then beat Reading.

If we do lose to Blackpool, please tell me we will beat the skates!
