So were Huddersfield

Does remind me a bit of them. 10 games ago the table looked like this (top 3)

1 West Ham United 29 +16 56

2 Southampton 29 +20 52

3 Birmingham City 29 +20 50

Top 3 Now:

1 Southamptn 39 +37 78

2 Reading 39 +22 73

3 West Ham 38 +21 69

Gees. I'd forgotten how badly Birmingham had faded over the last ten games.

wow, that puts it into perspective. In 9 games West Ham have gained 13 points with a goal difference of +5. In ten games we've gained 26 points with a GD of +17.

the quality of " bounce-back-ability " (whoever dreamed up that one?) is highlighted quite well if we see that West Ham seemed to have " peaked " around Christmas / New Year time, when they took over at the top, and we had our infamous " blip".

In an 8 game period, we won only 8 points ..of a possible 24 with a GD of - 4, whilst the Hammers won a few, and took a 4 point lead at the top. Now we are 9 points clear of them, we can see that indeed we may have "bounced back" (12 League games undefeated), whilst Hammers have been tossing away points with every game. Hopefully if we can maintain this current form the "blip " will only be a bad memory - soon forgotten.

our greatest strength may not lie in playing masterful, possession type football, but fitness levels which can last to the 95th minute of the last game.

Blows that theory out the window then :) think the football league show said Cardiff, but checked and it was Swansea on GD

Think he was referring to the teams in 2nd, 3rd and 4th as the three that "broke away" (presumably because QPR were so far ahead already).
