Looks like no one from the club contributed to that, which may be their attempt to keep a lid on things and concentrate...

(Good to see SRV pop up by the way.)

May explain that "Unhelpful" tweet earlier in the week, But good to see a positive story about one of our players for a change. hell good to see ANY story about one of our players in a National Paper - it's been a long time!

I won't like it, but the guy is a legend......same as adkins.. they day he leaves (and he will one day), no matter what, he will have written himself into saints history...along with rickie

You are right DD - who would have thought that RL could be considered a better player than Carroll; but he probably is!

To put thing sinto context:

"Lambert, their late blooming striker, has scored 24 of their 70 league goals." (my point is that 46 are NOT his - a lot of goals)

We are hardly a one-trick act. Ricky has been getting better service and support, and thriving on it. Yes, I think he is prem quality and i really hope we get to prove it next year.

Of course, it isn't the end of the stats. war. Looking back at his record of consistancy since he joined us ; I think his record is as good as anyone.

We have a goalscorer who has given us " success ", rather than just " survival ".

I'm glad that there have been " another 46 goals " because we have been far too dependent on big goalscorers to keep us alive in past decades.

Ron Davies in the 1960's. Channon in the 70's and, of course MLT without whom we would have been in Div.2 (or whatever you want to call this division) around 20 years ago (certainly after Alan Ball's departure, I guess).

I'm more worried by Pardew making a big bid than Liverpool.

Still, live for today and all that...

Not sure, Lambert did say he only wants to play for Saints. If we don't go up then he may leave but if we're in the Premiership I can't see him going anywhere.
