Matthew Le God Posted 30 May, 2013 Posted 30 May, 2013 New drainage system... News doesn't get more exciting than this!
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 30 May, 2013 Author Posted 30 May, 2013 New drainage system... News doesn't get more exciting than this! Looks like the old Dell pitch around Easter time
dronskisaint Posted 30 May, 2013 Posted 30 May, 2013 Baseball Ground mid seventies. You had to be 6ft to see above the surface..unreal to see some of the old footage. The Dell was more of a beach than a bog by February
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 30 May, 2013 Posted 30 May, 2013 To be fair that looks in a better state than Bloomfield Road this season.
lifeintheslowlane Posted 30 May, 2013 Posted 30 May, 2013 I've played on worse. Looks like the Veracity Ground...that had dog s**t to contend with too.
Saints boy in Leeds Posted 30 May, 2013 Posted 30 May, 2013 Jesus christ, that must be costing them tens of millions. It doesn't surprise me to be fair, we quoted for installing a load of hi end CCTV systems for one of the sheikhs relative that owns loads of property in Dubai. Some of the cameras are in the region of £250k per unit, didn't even blink, simply replied with, how many can you supply. They have so much money it's beyond comprehension.
Toomer Posted 30 May, 2013 Posted 30 May, 2013 Looks like the Veracity Ground...that had dog s**t to contend with too. Took the words out of my mouth.
Whitey Grandad Posted 30 May, 2013 Posted 30 May, 2013 Looks like the Veracity Ground...that had dog s**t to contend with too. God that was awful. Fryern Rec was also bad for dogs. I know someone who used to take her dog there just so it could have a crap.
Prince Jazzbo Posted 2 June, 2013 Posted 2 June, 2013 Its June, time for the beach! Looks like Stamford Bridge when Chelsea played Charlton a few years ago.
jasonb Posted 2 June, 2013 Posted 2 June, 2013 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19597158 Just interesting to compare... I live 3 miles up the road from the Etihad. The rate at which they are developing this site is ridiculous. Round the clock on it!
trousers Posted 6 June, 2013 Posted 6 June, 2013 Wooden facade now going up... That photo looks very familiar.... just missing a pensioner on a mobile scooter in the foreground...
Matthew Le God Posted 6 June, 2013 Posted 6 June, 2013 Thats something for the photoshop experts to cobble together!

Matthew Le God Posted 6 June, 2013 Posted 6 June, 2013 Is it meant to be finished in time for preseason? That is what they said in the early Saints Player videos last year. Looks like they might have too much to do to get the main pavilion building finished in under a month but other buildings on the site (academy, security hut, groundsman building and spectator stands), pitches and landscaping may be ready for when the players come back.

I understand they are going to be in a training camp and playing a few friendlies abroad so that should give them a couple of extra weeks to complete, after the inital reporting back and tests etc. i guess the main things that will need completing will be the pitches and changing rooms. Looks from the photos there is a lot of work to do but it's amazing how quickly these things seem to spring up.

I don't know, depends on the size of the team doing second fit really.

Matthew Le God Posted 12 June, 2013 Posted 12 June, 2013 The spectator stand at Staplewood training ground in the New Forest is taking shape...
Matthew Le God Posted 12 June, 2013 Posted 12 June, 2013 They got planning permission in May to add further camera position and extend the roof...
buctootim Posted 12 June, 2013 Posted 12 June, 2013 Im glad they've gone for knit one, pearl one in Autumn gold - so much more interesting than plain green.
skintsaint Posted 12 June, 2013 Posted 12 June, 2013 Cheers for the photos. Reminds me of the time getting updates on SMS being built.
Pugwash Posted 12 June, 2013 Posted 12 June, 2013 Didn't I read somewhere that the whole scheme wouldn't be complete until about November?
Leicestersaint Posted 12 June, 2013 Posted 12 June, 2013 Im glad they've gone for knit one, pearl one in Autumn gold - so much more interesting than plain green. Very good - it helps us stand out from the crowd.
CB Saint Posted 12 June, 2013 Posted 12 June, 2013 Im glad they've gone for knit one, pearl one in Autumn gold - so much more interesting than plain green. It is to get our nippers playing more like the Brazilians
The Cat Posted 12 June, 2013 Posted 12 June, 2013 I'm very tempted by this house which backs onto Staplewood. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-42007091.html If only there was a tree in the garden of sufficient height I could climb it to spy on training.
The Cat Posted 12 June, 2013 Posted 12 June, 2013 Actually it faces the training ground. I'd have to peak through the fence instead.

You'd probably have to fight off Pilchards!

You can buy a 3 bed house for £220k?! Fock me, I will take a couple please
The Cat Posted 12 June, 2013 Posted 12 June, 2013 F**k me does that kitchen need redecorating. I thought mine was bad. It also looks like someone has ****ed all over the carpet in the front room. At least I could blame the previous owner after rolling in after an away game.
eelpie Posted 12 June, 2013 Posted 12 June, 2013 Thats something for the photoshop experts to cobble together! So the rumours about Terry joining Saints are true
Colinjb Posted 12 June, 2013 Posted 12 June, 2013 You can buy a 3 bed house for £220k?! Fock me, I will take a couple please Hey, I'm selling a three bedroom property in Coventry for £130k, do help yourself.
Mase Posted 12 June, 2013 Posted 12 June, 2013 Hey, I'm selling a three bedroom property in Coventry for £130k, do help yourself. But thats north of the Watford gap!
Joey-deacons-left-nut Posted 12 June, 2013 Posted 12 June, 2013 It also looks like someone has ****ed all over the carpet in the front room. At least I could blame the previous owner after rolling in after an away game. Looking at the furniture and décor, i'd say that's probably where the current owner died......
