Kingsland Red Posted 23 March, 2012 Share Posted 23 March, 2012 ...is spreading: Northampton manager Aidy Boothroyd has explained the secret of his success since taking charge at Sixfields. He told BBC Northampton: "It's about getting the right people on the bus, getting them in the right seats and making sure you have a driver who knows where he's going." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/17485405
the saint in winchester Posted 23 March, 2012 Share Posted 23 March, 2012 Haha, I can see all managers adopting Nigel-speak over the next year! Now read the line above and imagine Sir Alex and then Mancini saying it. The accents may change but they will all be using the bus analogy soon. That seems to be his latest catch phrase.

London Saint Posted 23 March, 2012 Share Posted 23 March, 2012 What about the Adkins bingo game? Saw it on Twitter and you win bingo if he says any of the following sentences post-match: 'We were trying to get control of the football' 'The players worked very very hard in training and you can see that on the pitch' 'We're all pulling in the same direction' 'Its not just about 11 players but about using the whole squad' 'Its a good 3 points, yes, but we draw a line under it and move onto the next one' And so on! Although this novel notion has yet to catch on with the majority of supporters. They're on the bus, they're good supporters who work very, very hard by going to a lot of games but the too high/too low principle remains largely unapplied as yet. (He) looks very good in training, but this is a hard side to get into, there's lots of competition... (from.. God Fridays do drag at work. Anyway, I did the bingo game for his interview today on the OS. I went for: 1. Pass the football 2. Don’t under estimate the opposition. (A home banker with the match against DonnY0 3. One game at a time. Maybe it should become a real competition.... with Guly hosting, Adam Blackmore as the voice over. Anyway I got 2/3. So who's going to place their bets for the post match interview after the Donny game? Maybe extend it to 5 to make it harder? 1. Draw a blue line under this game 2. It was a great finish from Guly 3. Very hard working football club 4. Everyone is pulling in the same direction 5. Control the controllable #NigelAdkinsinterviewbingo

Kingsland Codger Posted 23 March, 2012 Share Posted 23 March, 2012 And not forgetting ... 1) We have a very honest group of players (whatever the heck that means) 2) Up against a very good (insert name of opposition) side
