svetigpung Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Anyone know how many tickets are sold for the big match or how many seats are still available? I've not read anything on here or the official site about the numbers? If there are any left I'm gonna try and fly over for this big one. Got to say a proper goodbye to the smelly ones!
dune Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 They are available and if you wait until after saturday you will be able to buy them without linking.
trousers Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 They are available and if you wait until after saturday you will be able to buy them without linking. Is that second bit official yet? Don't recall seeing anything about a date for unlinked sales yet. Might have missed it.
niemi14 Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Booked mine this morning, think she said Northam and Kingsland sold out.
This Charming Man Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Could someone correct the spelling mistake in the title. It's 'Pompey' not "Pimpey". Many Thanks.
dune Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Is that second bit official yet? Don't recall seeing anything about a date for unlinked sales yet. Might have missed it. Al the details are in a highly classified envelope marked "no to be opened before k/o on Saturday".
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Surely after the Doncaster match they will just link it with Reading?
This Charming Man Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Surely after the Doncaster match they will just link it with Reading? Doubt it, Reading will (should) sell out on it's own. They normally do it for the 'lesser' games to help increase the gate.
Saint Garrett Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 When I asked the TO they said at no point would they be available without them being linked, but I doubt they would not sell the remaining ones after Saturday but wouldn't be surprised if they link it with the Reading game, despite that probably being a sellout anyway.
The Majestic Channon Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Could someone correct the spelling mistake in the title. It's 'Pompey' not "Pimpey". Many Thanks. It's skates
John Boy Saint Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 We must be so stinking rich to apply policies that minimise tickets sales rather than encourage them to sell out.
fareham saint phil Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Just back from the ticket office to get my doncaster tickets and these are very limited availability, having to sit behind my lad. So it will be sell outs for the remaining home games i think, which is always good news
simo Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 When I rang yesterday day and asked what.happens after the donny game I was told "we don't know yet"
dune Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 When I rang yesterday day and asked what.happens after the donny game I was told "we don't know yet" Translation "we do know but we can't tell you or Nicky will sack us."
southamptonfclegend Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 it would make a bit of sense to link it to the Reading game, as Reading is on TV but as a massive game should still have a good crowd.
supersonic Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 They are available and if you wait until after saturday you will be able to buy them without linking. That should be true, I can't see them making you buy a ticket for Doncaster if you phone up on Monday
svetigpung Posted 22 March, 2012 Author Posted 22 March, 2012 OK , but does anyone know how many tickets that are still left for the Pimpey/Pompey/Skates/Fishfookers match? Hundreds, thousands, one???
Golden Balls Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Quick answer, nobody knows. I would imagine if you want a ticket and you're on the database, you'll get one. All else fails, buy one in the away section, there seem to be plenty left.

JRM Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 They had about 100 left over a week ago, so imagine there are very few left now, if any. was that confirmed? fair play if they sell out, pleased really as makes it a proper derby, and they'll spend more at the bars putting more cash into our coffers. have saints been paid by the skates for the tickets yet though?
Saints foreva Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 Just back from the ticket office to get my doncaster tickets and these are very limited availability, having to sit behind my lad. pittdogg Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 must be over 25.000 as my mate struggled to get 2 together he wanted northerm and the nearest he could get was itchen corner( chapel end) glad i got mine last week
JRM Posted 22 March, 2012 Posted 22 March, 2012 must be over 25.000 as my mate struggled to get 2 together he wanted northerm and the nearest he could get was itchen corner( chapel end) glad i got mine last week it says on official website Donny crowd "expected to be over 25k" so even going on the basis that Doncaster will only bring 500 odd that still means a few thousand saints tickets left, they haven't opened the itchen north for the donny game as far as i am aware, so would expect 4k to still be available for skates after the weekend.
The Cat Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 it says on official website Donny crowd "expected to be over 25k" so even going on the basis that Doncaster will only bring 500 odd that still means a few thousand saints tickets left, they haven't opened the itchen north for the donny game as far as i am aware, so would expect 4k to still be available for skates after the weekend. Itchen corner is open, you can buy tickets online. Some sections are sold out, not many tickets left in the others either.
onthemarch Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 will pubs be open in Southampton beforem the pompey game? Presume so with the reverse bubble in effect......
supersonic Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 will pubs be open in Southampton beforem the pompey game? Presume so with the reverse bubble in effect...... The Old Farmhouse is likely to be open but on a secret knock system as he'll have the front boarded up like when we played them in the cup
Um Bongo Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 On general sale from Wednesday 28th March at 9am. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2689911,00.html
geordiesaint Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 They wont make general sale thats for sure!!
Saint Garrett Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Doesnt affect me but bit annoying for fans that they cant sort these tickets out on Saturday and have to wait until Monday.

Sour Mash Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 So if its the biggest home attendance this season it would suggest that not everyone with a donny ticket is gonna get a skate one, gonna be some dissapointed people for sure I've said all along, they need to be careful about not selling too many for this one. Must mean the skates game is almost sold out.
stevegrant Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 I've said all along, they need to be careful about not selling too many for this one. I don't think they've said anywhere that buying for tomorrow's game guarantees you a Pompey ticket, they've always said it's first-come, first-served. If people who buy for tomorrow miss out on a Pompey ticket, they've only themselves to blame, they've had more than enough time.
isplumm Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 Hi, Not sure if anyone interested - but I have just bought silver package x 2 for Doncaster & Reading. This means that I could also do silver package for pompey - but as on holiday can not. So if anyone interested in doing silver package x 2 for pompey only (£90 a ticket thou!), contact me - isplumm @ msn.com Mark

We had 29k Saints fans at the West Ham game. The club are now saying we've sold more home tickets than that for tomorrow? But the Skates game isn't sold out yet. I'm probably missing something as usual.

Not everyone will want to go to the Pompey game for whatever reason. I'm assuming Donny are bringing a very small following tomorrow, which has allowed us to open up extra blocks in the Northam for home fans. I wouldn't bother going down into the Northam concourse at half-time as a result, it'll be worse than usual

I wouldn't bother going down into the Northam concourse at half-time as a result, it'll be worse than usual Yeah block 43 is obviously open tomorrow and will add it's usual over-crowding/queuing problems to the Northam, but how many people do you really think want to do the Donny game, but NOT the Skates? Really?
Sour Mash Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 its not confusing at all....it is pretty straight forward But why buy for Donny and not the Skates game? Are there that many that want to do the Doncaster game and not the Skates?
Thedelldays Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 But why buy for Donny and not the Skates game? Are there that many that want to do the Doncaster game and not the Skates? because people can do what they like...people have other things going on in their miserable lives than football
Sour Mash Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 because people can do what they like...people have other things going on in their miserable lives than football Are you this boring in real life? Or only on here? You do realise this thread is to discuss what is happening with sales of tickets for the skates game? What did you think it was about?

svetigpung Posted 23 March, 2012 Author Posted 23 March, 2012 This has buggered up my plans a bit. Only solution is to buy two tickets för Donny, that i cant use, just to buy two for Pompey. Expensive but the only option left. Anyone want an adult and a child ticket for Donny at halv price?
JRM Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 because people can do what they like...people have other things going on in their miserable lives than football that doesn't really explain it though does it, skates at home we are limited to 29k tickets, we have already sold over that for Doncaster if what the official site says is correct. therefore the question is how many people have bought for Donny and not the skates game. whatever that figure is will indicate how many will be left for general sale next wednesday. even if you didn't want to do the skates game you'd take advantage of buying the priority ticket as surely everyone knows people who'd want it, i certainly do.

Have you tried emailing them explaining you are coming over from Sweden?
St Jim Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 But why buy for Donny and not the Skates game? Are there that many that want to do the Doncaster game and not the Skates? I guess it depends on the thoughts of the people going. If I was in old blighty I'd take my lads to the Donny game, purchasing 3 tickets but would not let them go to the Pimpley game for their own safety (they're too young) and would only buy 1 ticket for myself. I reckon there may be a few who will be doing this, plus some that may not go at all because they'd not feel safe enough (which wouldn't surprise me as they seem a lot more bitter and intent on causing trouble than when we played them in the EPL games). Either way it's up to them and I'm not going to judge people for turning up to the cheap Lambrusco game like Donny and but not the Champagne game.

St Jim Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 My 9 year old nipper for one and there's my point proved
Sour Mash Posted 23 March, 2012 Posted 23 March, 2012 you are getting all excited because people may dare to go to the donny game and not the skates game... Not getting excited. Just find it interesting and trying to work out what is happening with sales for the Skates game. I'll ask again, you do know which thread you're posting on? I think the majority on here wouldn't have assumed we'd sell more for Donny than Skates, if that is in fact the case. For what its worth, I think they'll be a fair few empty seats dotted around tomorrow.

Doncaster at home isn't exactly a glamour game. Just surprised its panned out this way that's all. Worked out perfectly for the club in terms of making money out of ticket sales.
