It was publicised before Ipswich and Barnsley games. Purchase a ticket for one of these and you could buy one for Coventry guaranteeing to be at the last home game which has traditionally sold out for last few seasons. General sale is, I believe from April 14th.

Ah, the Ticket Office! When I went to purchase Pompey tkts, I was told that I could not have them as I had not bought the tickets for Doncaster! "Oh yes I did!" "Sorry, it is not on our database" With that, I took the Doncaster tkts from my pocket and showed them. "Oh, must be a problem with our database"

I went there last week to buy Reading & Coventry tickets. TO "Did you purchase Ipswich or Barnsley tickets?" I replied that I had, as I have been to every home game this season with my grandson. Gave my name and post code, to be told, "Sorry, your account has been closed". WTF! TO "I will reopen your account" No reason given as to why it had been closed!

Everytime I buy tkts at the stadium, I give my membership number but I was told last week, "We don't have membership numbers now!" I replied, "Why then do I get asked for my membership number?" TO "Ah, that is only required if you buy tickets over the phone" "So, you do need a membership number?" TO "No"

Far too complicated for my old brain! Bring back David Luker.

They really do miss this guy, ticketing allocations seemed much more logical in his day and when there was a problem it was sorted in an efficient and pleasant way !

Much as I understand the push to maximise crowds, it can get very complicated when you 'twin' matches, restrict availability etc.. which appears to happen more and more nowadays !!

I've got a doncaster ticket but can't come to pompey, barnsley or ipswich - so i'll have to wait for the lottery of Coventry going on general sale to fans on the database only which i am sure they will bring in.

Why the Donny game couldn't be linked to Coventry as well I don't know.

I am fairly sure that under David Luker we never had posts along the lines of: "I've been to every away game since the crucifiction, why can't I get a ticket for Man Utd at SMS delivered to me by carrier pigeon as the price of diesel is ridiculous?

Kind regards

Dune"

There we go, corrected it for you.

As I posted on the other ticket mither thread.

"We must be so stinking rich to apply policies that minimise tickets sales rather than encourage them to sell out"

What is stunning is that Season Ticket holders are treated just like any other pay as you go customer, despite being naive enough to invest in the club up front. Getting a head start on away and cup tickets is very nice thank you. My mate has a ST and a son in full time education which also takes up many Saturdays so he is home for Easter and able to go to all the games, but his Dad has a Donny ticket just going to waste in his wallet: bit cheesy really.

But hey the majority just roll with it.

What annoys me is the TO & phone line people seem to have different systems and details.

For example the Phoneline peeps don't have me down as a current ST, which I am, but TO does, so have to get their managers permission to allow for me to get the ST rights such as early away tickets.

Also when i phoned up to get Missus her Donny & Pompey tickets the Phone people said that Block 4 & 5 had sold out so had to get block 8 for her, the next day my mate phoned up on general sale and bought 2 in Block 4!

If you're a season ticket holder you've already got your ticket for the game.

We're not interested in customer service any more though. Probably regarded as a sign of weakness by Swiss-Italians or something.

Funny how much people moan. Pretty sure people moaned a lot about David Luker but now want him back. Get a life and cheer up, nothing is ever perfect.

stupid attitude to take. you'll only take this approach until it effects you, poor service is bad enough, but when they charge you £3 for the privilidge they need to buck their ideas up.

hopefully the new system they are going to introduce next year will help, online tool to make buying easy and pick specific seats like other clubs have will be good.

the official ticket news said you needed Barnsley and ipswich for Cov so i bought for both, even though i had the offer of a spare season ticket for free for the Ipswich game, i should have double checked with them but that doesn't excuse the fact the information provided was wrong.

It's not that stupid. You make some good points about the need to improve communications but the OP never raised that in his first post, or the £3 levy, or the ease of buying. He seemed to feel that he was entitled to another two coventry tickets for his family or mates or whatever simply because he is a season ticket holder which is, frankly, laughable.

I do feel for people (all people) who want to see this game and don't qualify for priority purchases but I do get weary of the seaon ticket holders who think they are special or the fans who live far away and feel they ought to get priority because they don't come over very often (MLT excepted of course - lol). You're right though - everyone is happy until it affects them personally and then they take a different view. Fickle? Us??

You really are dumb. We've sold 32000 for donny this wouldn't happen unless we linked it. Two near full houses equates to more than one sell out and one 22000 - if you can't part with 60 quid of cash you don't deserve a Pompey ticket.

If its any consolation norm I've been completely wiped from the database as well, don't know why and no explanation from the powers that be....so I've had to buy tickets using my 3 sons names who mysteriously are all still on the database.

Agree that the TO is poor.

I ordered Millwall tickets on a Monday and they forgot to post until I rang on the Thursday. Not the first time that has happened.

I ordered Barnsley tickets on a Thursday and said I would collect, but they ended up on my doormat Friday morning.

2nd not really a negative but it's just clear requests and instructions which seem to get ignored, and that is irritating.

RIGHT! anyway when was the last time you watched saints?

Yesterday and at Millwall, in fact the only games I've missed in the last 10 were Hull & Ipswich. Not that that's got anything to do with anything.

I still dont understand why you feel that having a Season ticket should guarantee your mate priority over other non season ticket holders.

It wasn't as if there was any loyalty system in place for Cov tickets. It was on the web site, buy Barnsley or/and Ipswich and get Cov one at the same time. Some of us did this and have Cov tickets, the rest go on general sale.
